The Moon is Void of Course today (October 29) at 11:01 PM (Eastern) until October 30 at 9:52 AM (Eastern) and the Moon is in Capricorn. Don’t make any important decisions while the Moon is Void of Course. For a deeper explanation of Moon Void of Course Click Here.
When the Moon is in Capricorn it’s a time of being dependable and following through. People will be working harder and it’s a wonderful time to really utilize your concentration and your focus. Capricorn is continually striving for financial security, so making efforts along that line will be very good. People may seem a little more stern during this time (as they are focused on their own concentrated efforts). But within the family, this is a time that brings out familial connection.
It’s a very good time to begin construction or to sell real estate and it’s a very good time for communication with influential people.
Be careful of your knees during this time. Also, be careful to not expose yourself to colds. This is also a time when skin ailments can flare up. It is a very good time to do anything that involves really utilizing your will power.
And always remember, Astrology and other tools are simply that – tools. It’s good information to have, but it does not mean that this is the determining factor or controlling your life. We all have free will in all the choices that we make. I like to look at it as good information that can be transcended.

Fifteen years ago I was a very unhappy and dissatisfied person. I was a divorce attorney in Omaha, Nebraska and I was 40 pounds overweight. I had 2 prevailing thoughts: I hated my work and I hated my body. I felt stuck. I was 47 years old. My mother had become ill with cancer at the age of 47 and eventually died at the age of 51. My mother had also been unhappy and dissatisfied and felt stuck. She finally came un-stuck by leaving the planet.
I remember thinking all the time “if I died tomorrow, I would be really pissed off”. I remember thinking that if died tomorrow, I would have never experienced a true feeling of happiness or joy or full, deep satisfaction. It was also interesting how that showed up with my body. Because I was constantly dieting, I felt hungry all the time. But even when I would eat, I would most often eat past the point of feeling full. I don’t think I had experienced the feeling of feeling full or completely satisfied. At least, not enough to really know what it felt like.
And then it all changed. I came to Sedona for the first time in 1999, had a life changing experience, left my law practice and started coming out here to do my own personal healing work. I did that for 3 years. About 2 years into that, I had the most incredible experience of sitting in my kitchen in Omaha, looking at the huge trees swaying in the wind and this intense feeling came over me and I suddenly had the thought of “if I died tomorrow, it would be okay”. Through all the healing work that I had done, I had suddenly and without any warning, come into a place of deep contentment. There wasn’t anything that had happened — I hadn’t seen God, I hadn’t just won the lottery and I had no idea what I was going to be doing with my life or my work, nothing at all had happened. This feeling of peace and serenity and true joy just sort of took me over.
This morning I had another one of those moments. I’m leaving to go to LA to visit my sister and see her latest play (she’s a director) and I’m going on a plane and I had a crazy thought about the plane crashing. And I was suddenly overcome with this rush of joy and love and this thought of “that would be perfectly fine. I’m so happy, I’m so full, that if I went tomorrow it would be okay.” I was so overwhelmed by it, that I started crying these tears of joy, which have continued for hours while I’m writing this.
The same thing happened with my body. After so many years of crazy dieting, manic exercising, buying exercise equipment and pills, working with trainers, etc., etc., etc., I had an experience that came out of the blue where I suddenly started loving my body. This had come as the result of doing lots of work and sessions, etc., but when it came, it came very suddenly and without warning. I was shown that my body was perfect exactly the way it was. That I could be happy without being thin. This sense of joy and peace and serenity just overwhelmed me and I stopped all the crazy dieting and exercise. I just stopped.
And then here’s the kicker. The minute I did that, with no effort, the weight just started melting off. I lost 40 pounds and went from a size 14 to a size 6. That was over 5 years ago and I now eat and drink whatever I want, whenever I want and I’m still a size 6 and my latest medical checkup was the best it’s ever been.
When I eat now, I instantly know when I’m full. I’m full and complete and I just stop eating. Sometimes the plate has been licked clean and sometimes there’s still food left. I don’t over-eat something because it tastes good, I eat to that delicious point where I feel full and complete and satisfied.
Similarly, when I stopped pushing against my law practice and healed those unhealed parts of myself, all of these incredible and amazing circumstances came together and I started Sedona Soul Adventures, which has become the most satisfying and fulfilling and delicious experience of my life.
It is so incredibly amazing what happens when we finally allow in this feeling of fullness, of deep satisfaction, to finally come into our lives. Because it’s a choice. The Universe is sending us everything and we are either allowing it in or not. Before I wasn’t allowing in these feelings of being full. I thought I had to be thin to be happy. I thought I had to have the perfect job show up before I could be fulfilled.
When I stopped railing against everything and took responsibility for my own healing, everything fell into place. Everything came into joy. And that’s what made me cry those tears of joy this morning.
My prayer for you is that you could experience that kind of joy in your life. And you can. It’s just gunk and blocks that are holding you back and we can find those, eliminate them and bring you back into connection with that highest part of yourself. When you come back into connection, you experience that sense of fullness, of deep satisfaction and serenity, that we’re all craving and that we can all have.

The Moon is Void of Course today (October 23) at 1:22 PM (Eastern) until October 23 at 5:10 PM (Eastern) and the Moon is in Libra. Don’t make any important decisions while the Moon is Void of Course. For a deeper explanation of Moon Void of Course Click Here.
When the Moon is in Libra, we have a deep desire for harmony and balance and to be in right relationship. This includes all relationships – love, work, friends, family. It is usually a good time for tact and impartiality, as people are seeing both sides of an issue. We have a real desire to connect and to be in partnership. It is a good time to work out existing problems.
This can be a time when emotions are expressed very freely. This is typically a time when it is very difficult to make decisions, so just decide not to make any decisions, especially because the Moon is Void of Course! Now is a very auspicious time for work, especially in those areas where teamwork is required. This period is especially auspicious for those in the artistic fields because this is a time of heightened sensitivity to beauty and aesthetics.
It is also a good time for the work of psychologists and attorneys because of the craving for balance and justice. Be very careful with your spine, waist, adrenal glands and the kidneys and it’s a good time to avoid surgery in those areas. Enjoy this time of balance!
And always remember, Astrology and other tools are simply that – tools. It’s good information to have, but it does not mean that this is the determining factor or controlling your life. We all have free will in all the choices that we make. I like to look at it as good information that can be transcended.

The Moon is Void of Course today (October 20) at 11:30 PM (Eastern) until October 21 at 7:12 AM (Eastern) and the Moon is in Virgo. Don’t make any important decisions while the Moon is Void of Course. For a deeper explanation of Moon Void of Course Click Here.
Virgo is very detailed oriented and is the sign that is the most critical and judgmental. But Virgos are also very helpful and very intelligent, so utilize this energy wisely.
It is a wonderful time for making lists and organizing things. It’s an especially good time for cleaning anything out. Clear your home of anything no longer needed or useful, clean your mind of any thoughts or beliefs that are no longer serving you and clean your body so that it feels the way you want it to feel. Virgo rules the intestines, so it’s a wonderful time for cleansing.
It is a good time to really look at and reflect on the details of your life. It is not a good time to discuss your performance or merits in your job or in a relationship, as people will tend to be more critical during this time. This is a time when you will feel more of a desire to help other people and other people will feel a desire to help you. What a win-win!
And always remember, Astrology and other tools are simply that – tools. It’s good information to have, but it does not mean that this is the determining factor or controlling your life. Have there ever been times in your life when you knew you just had to take a leap of faith? When the only answer was to just jump and do something? Even if it made no logical sense?
Did you do it? Did you take the leap? How was your landing?
I’ve discovered over and over again in my life that when we take the leap of faith, that’s when the magic happens.
I’ve had two times in my life where I took a leap of faith. Both times, I thought I was jumping into the abyss. The first time it happened, I was at such a low point in my life that it almost felt like throwing myself off a cliff and because I was so unhappy, I didn’t care. The second time I was so happy that I felt my happiness would save me. The interesting thing is, in both situations, I was right.
The first time I took the leap of faith was when I left my 20 year law practice after I came to Sedona for the first time. I just left. I couldn’t take it anymore. I was a divorce attorney and although I loved the part where I was helping my clients, I just couldn’t take another day of the fighting and arguing and emotional turmoil. I had no idea what I was going to do. I had no plan. I didn’t have enough money to just not work. But I did it. I left. I spent 6 months taking care of all of my 175 cases and left. And at that time I came to Sedona for one month.
During that month I did three types of healing work that were life changing.
The heaviness was starting to clear and I was starting to come back into connection. I still didn’t have a plan. I still didn’t have any idea what I was going to do, but I was starting to feel a lot better.
Over the next 3 years, I came to Sedona for a month at a time doing healing work with different practitioners that I would find. Some were amazing and some were not. But they all contributed to my growing awareness that something was “right around the corner”. I knew that my own healing had to be somewhat complete before it would show up.
And then suddenly, 2 weeks before 9/11 happened, I was in Sedona doing a session and my high self came in and told me it was time to move to Sedona. I asked what I was going to be doing, but it seems like they always just show you the next step, they never show you the whole thing.
So I was being told to leave Omaha, sell my house, leave my friends, and come to Sedona. For three years I had always said when asked that I was “never” moving to Sedona. Well, never say never.
Right after this happened I chanced upon the movie “Indiana Jones and Last Crusade” while I was channel surfing. This is the one with Sean Connery playing Indiana’s father. At the end of the movie, the Nazis have shot Indie’s dad in the stomach and the only way Indie can save him is to solve a bunch of riddles and find the Holy Grail. Indie is told he needs to take a leap of faith. He looks down and sees a chasm that is so deep he can’t even see the bottom of it. Taking the leap of faith means stepping into this chasm into what looks like certain death. He takes a deep breath and steps forward. Suddenly a path rises up to meet him and he can cross the divide. When he felt the faith and believed, there it was, the path rose up to meet him.
He found the Holy Grail, saved his father, and they all (literally) go riding off into the sunset (and this was filmed at one of my favorite, mystical places in the world, Petra (the Rose City) in Jordan).
I took the leap of faith — I moved to Sedona having no idea what I was going to be doing, started Sedona Soul Adventures 6 months later (after seeing it in my dreams) and am now living happily ever after, watching beautiful sunsets and traveling to places like Egypt and Peru.
If I hadn’t taken the leap of faith, none of this would have happened. I saved my own life, not realizing the impact all this would have on the lives of so many others.
We’re all being guided. We’re all being tested. We can stay in our comfort zone and have things continue to be miserable and boring or we can take the leap and see what magic happens.
A woman came this week to start her Soul Adventure. She was very nervous. She’s been reading my newsletter for 4 years. She said it took her all that time to finally take the leap of faith, but she was already feeling the exhilaration and liberation of having done that. And I’m happy to say her Soul Adventure was a roaring success. It’s so amazing what can happen when we finally give ourselves permission to take that leap.
So how about you? Is there something in your life that’s calling you to take a leap of faith? Is there something that you know you’re supposed to be doing and you’re holding yourself back? Is there something that’s keeping you from living a life of joy and bliss? The only thing holding you back is you.
So I invite you to take the leap of faith and come to Sedona and do a soul adventure. We’ll figure out the blocks that are holding you back. We’ll help you through the leap into a soft, beautiful landing and into the joy and bliss that are your birthright.
Call us toll free at 1-877-204-3664 (US and Canada) or click here to request your complimentary session with one of our Angel Guides who will design the perfect retreat for you (or both of you if it’s a couple).

The Moon is Void of Course today (October 18) at 9:10 AM (Eastern) until October 18 at 7:08 PM (Eastern) and the Moon is in Leo. Don’t make any important decisions while the Moon is Void of Course. For a deeper explanation of Moon Void of Course Click Here.
Leo is the lion and during this time we will feel strong and confident. We will have a desire to feel beautiful and to be perceived as beautiful. Our inner child is connected with the Leo Moon, so it is a wonderful time to love ourselves a little more deeply.
This is a time when creativity will really flow, so do everything you can to nurture that. A wonderful time not only for creative pursuits, but creative thinking. Leo (and the Sun) always want to be the center of attention, so resist the misconception that “everything revolves around you”. It’s a wonderful time for parties and celebrations. Be especially careful of your heart and spine at this time.

The Moon is Void of Course today (October 15) at 7:27 PM (Eastern) until October 16 at 6:29 AM (Eastern) and the Moon is in Cancer. Don’t make any important decisions while the Moon is Void of Course. For a deeper explanation of Moon Void of Course Click Here.
Cancer has to do with emotions and our homes and our families. The Moon’s home base is Cancer, so the Moon feels the most at home here. When the Moon is in Cancer it is a time of deep emotions. It’s a time when we can connect with people on a deeper level, especially with our families. It is a time when we yearn for peace and serenity. It is not a good time for change, as we will resist any kind of change during this period and we will be more attune with things that are familiar (notice that the root of the word “family” is “familiar”).
Anything you would want to do around the home now would be favored, especially making your home a more comfortable place. Also anything having to do with helping your family or nurturing your family is very beneficial. Family get-togethers can be very harmonious during this time, especially if “neediness” is not involved. People can tend to be a little more secretive and moody during this time and also overly-protective. This can be a very healing time and a wonderful time to really connect with our deepest desires and what it is that drives us. Be very careful during this time about your stomach, gall bladder, and lymphatic system. Avoid over-eating, especially “comfort” foods. Give your family a big hug and tell them you love them.
And always remember, Astrology and other tools are simply that – tools. It’s good information to have, but it does not mean that this is the determining factor or controlling your life. We all have free will in all the choices that we make. I like to look at it as good information that can be transcended.

The Moon is Void of Course today (October 13) at 1:58 PM (Eastern) until October 13 at 7:30 PM (Eastern) and the Moon is in Gemini. Don’t make any important decisions while the Moon is Void of Course. For a deeper explanation of Moon Void of Course Click Here.
Gemini is the symbol of the Twin, so during this time you (and everyone else) will see both sides of everything. This can be good in some situations, but it can lead to indecision and people changing their minds for seemingly no reason.
Gemini is the most intellectual and mental of the signs, so it is a good time for writing and communication. Also a good time to do research (but remember, don’t make any decisions right now based on your research). Also a very favorable time for negotiating. Because things can be so changeable, it is also a good time for people being flexible. An excellent time to take a short trip.
And always remember, Astrology and other tools are simply that – tools. It’s good information to have, but it does not mean that this is the determining factor or controlling your life. This morning I was listening to NPR and the novelist being interviewed said:
“When we love, we see the other person in the way they ought to be seen. If we’re lucky enough to have that experience, it’s another kind of seeing, that has a kind of deep grace in it.”
That hit me where I live. If we are truly loving someone, we see them the way they ought to be seen; we see that highest part of them, the part that is connected and loving and joyful and would never hurt us.
It also made me realize that’s exactly what happens when people come here to do a couples retreat with us. When they first call, they are usually telling us about all the things that are wrong with the relationship and with the other person. They want the other person “fixed”. And then they come here and the magic starts to happen.
Before they come, we’ve spent lots of time speaking with each of them (separately, so that they are really telling us everything). We talk to them about what’s going on, what’s happening, what they want to have happen, literally if you could have the perfect relationship, what would that look like?
Based on those intimate conversations we put together a retreat that is designed for exactly what they need. Because we work with over 40 of the most amazing, incredible and experienced practitioners here in Sedona, we can pick and choose the most impactful and delicious experiences for them. None of the retreats is the same, they are all different and completely unique, but there is a general pattern (usually) of doing some work with the two people together and then having them do sessions separately and then coming back together again.
And this is where the magic happens because we bring them back into connection. Connection and disconnection is at the heart of everything we do here whether it’s with a couples retreat or a retreat for an individual. Most people are walking around in some level of disconnection – be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. When we are disconnected on one or more of those levels it’s like trying to drive a car with one of the spark plugs not working –the car will function, but it’s certainly not operating at peak performance.
When we’re walking around disconnected on any of the levels, we can function, but it feels pretty terrible. And when we feel terrible, it’s impossible to have a great relationship with ourselves or with anyone else.
But when we come back into connection on all the levels, our lives are blissful and joyful. We take responsibility for everything we have created and know that we can shift and transform all of our creations. We go into love and compassion with ourselves. We go into love and compassion with the other person. And when we go into love and compassion with the other person, everything transforms.
It’s still so amazing to me, even after all these years, how this happens. People come here disconnected from themselves and each other. We help them clear out the gunk and the blocks that are causing the disconnection and move them back into connection. And in that move back into connection there is “a kind of deep grace” that occurs.
One person in connection is so beautiful – two people in connection is mystical and incredible.
It’s possible to bring that connection back into your relationship and if you are craving that – the deliciousness of being in connection with your beloved –please come to Sedona and find that bliss and joy that is possible.
“Our 12 year marriage was saved by Sedona Soul Adventures”
“My wife of 12 years (Together for 14) and I have two children ages 4 and 8. Up until about 18 months ago we lived a “fairy-tale” marriage. We played together, laughed together, and enjoyed life together. We thought alike, shared the same dreams and values and it seemed nothing could tear us apart. In short, about a year and a half ago that all suddenly changed. My wife became increasingly introverted and obsessed with metaphysics. I, an earthly, and frankly not so spiritual person, became confused, then upset, and at times very angry. I could not understand what was happening to my wife whom I had shared so much in common with. The connection was deteriorating. After months of marriage counseling we were able to manage through this stormy period, and yes we did even have sunny days along the way. But the “D” word was coming up more and more often despite our desperate attempt to put the pieces back together. We never were able to get to the core of what was sending us in different directions. Then around June of this year, a few unfortunate situations had us hanging from the proverbial cliff. At that moment we had an “awakening” of sorts at marriage counseling, and we both decided that our relationship and our family were #1 and we were going to work through our differences. Things lightened up, but I could tell we were not quite there yet. Our 12 year wedding anniversary was approaching. We have always spent some alone time together for our anniversary. I wanted to do something special for her, and our relationship. I also wanted to do something special for me. I wanted to bring back into our relationship all that had been stripped away. Trust, passion, communication and most importantly the connection. I decided I was willing to learn more about my wife’s new interest, combine that with her learning more about me and blend that together to find that special place all over again. I was searching for something with a spiritual base, designed for a couple like us, in a special setting. I sent my wife the link to Sedona Soul Adventures… she could not believe that it came from me. She was so excited, and so was I. I cannot share the details, but what I can share is that our relationship is renewed, passionate, and loving. We are connected more than the day we married back 12 years ago. I learned I do have a spiritual side. I am a spirit having a human experience. My wife is beautiful just the way she is. She now loves her new found ability to communicate. Our communication is better than ever, and our romance is better than ever. Our marriage is safe, and there is no turning back.
Debra, thank you to you and your entire team of loving and talented individuals for all you do. Thank you from me and my wife. Perhaps someday my children will thank you too. A-ho!”

The Moon is Void of Course today (October 10) at 8:49 PM (Eastern) until October 11 at 11:51 AM (Eastern) and the Moon is in Taurus. Don’t make any important decisions while the Moon is Void of Course. For a deeper explanation of Moon Void of Course Click Here.
Taurus is the bull and although this is a time when people can be very stubborn, it is also a time when we are attracted to calm and comfort., especially in our homes and our surroundings. This is a time when we tend toward the familiar and any kind of drama (especially with family members) will be especially unwelcome.
This is a time when we yearn for and crave serenity and peace more than at any other time. It is also a time when we will feel more patient. Money and financial aspects are highlighted now, although when the Moon is Void of Course we may feel a need to possess things or possess other people. Be especially careful of your head or eyes. It’s not a good time to go to the dentist. Also, be very mindful of your ears and throat and your thyroid.
And always remember, Astrology and other tools are simply that – tools. It’s good information to have, but it does not mean that this is the determining factor or controlling your life. We all have free will in all the choices that we make. I like to look at it as good information that can be transcended.
