3 reasons why the Brad and Angelina thing is important for you
Although it might seem rather vacuous to be interested in Brad and Angelina,
okay, stop right there, you might be thinking, what the heck does “vacuous” mean? I kept trying to come up with the appropriate word (I was coming up with “stupid”, “not spiritual”, “low minded”) and I know the word “vacuous” so I looked it up and sure enough the definition is: “silly, inane, unintelligent, insipid, foolish, stupid, fatuous, idiotic, brainless, witless, vapid, vacant, empty-headed; dumb, moronic, brain-dead, fluffy, fluffball.”
I love finding words that have so many meanings and are so nuanced.
Okay, back to the topic — While on some level it might seem foolish and unintelligent and brainless and vapid and fluffball, and even though it might feel like we’re gossiping, that’s not what this is about. When I heard the news, I literally exclaimed out loud “Oh no!” and I genuinely cared. My very first thought was, “if people like that who seem to have everything can’t make it work, who can?”
So here are 3 reasons why this situation offers you some important life lessons:
1. It’s never the stuff on the outside that makes us happy and content, it’s always the stuff on the inside.
I spent so much of my life telling myself that I couldn’t be happy until I had _______________. It was always something — more money, thinner body, better relationship. I talk about this a lot in my new book, The Journey to Happy, [coming next month!] because one of the huge aspects of the Journey for me was finally getting it, that it is NEVER about the outside stuff making us happy, it’s always the inside job.
And I see it now with people that we work with all the time. They tell themselves they can’t be happy unless and until they have the great job, a certain amount of money, until they’re thin, have the great relationship, etc., etc.
Here are 2 people who (seemingly) had it all. I mean, really, these two had everything — beauty, brains, money, love, children, fabulous homes, travel, exciting careers, an interest in helping other people (and the means to do it). And it still wasn’t enough.
2. Another person can’t make you happy, only you can make you happy.
If Brad Pitt can’t make you happy, what does it take? Well, the answer is very simple. Another person can’t make you happy. A fabulous, loving relationship can add greatly to your happiness, but it simply isn’t going to make you happy if you’re not already basically happy. If you want to be happy, you’ve got to find a way to be happy within yourself.
3. You can’t take anything for granted in life (or in relationship). If stuff is going on, it’s got to be dealt with.
The internet is awash with rumors about what went wrong. I don’t know what it was, but I do know this. If stuff is going on in your life (or your relationship), you’ve got to do something about it. And if you don’t, things start to fall apart.
What’s the stuff you’ve got going on? Are you happy? Are you unhappy?
Are you living your life in peace and fulfillment or are you stressed out and burned out?
Do you feel calm most of the time, or fearful and anxious?
Are you happy in your relationship or do you know there are issues that need to be addressed?
Are you living your life purpose or stuck in a job you hate?
If stuff is going on, it’s got to be dealt with. It’s as simple as that. If you don’t deal with it directly, you’ll end up dealing with it in some other way. For a lot of people if they don’t deal with something head on, they end up getting sick. As one of my teachers used to say, you can deal with it now while the Universe is nudging you, or you can wait until they hit you with a 2 x 4. Your choice.
Don’t wait until the Universe hits you with a 2 x 4. Do something. Now.
You deserve to have a happy, blissful life and a wonderful, loving, supportive relationship.

Why you should care about the Sedona Vortex Energy
I’ve had 3 occurrences in the past week regarding the Sedona Vortex energies, so that tells me I need to talk to you about it, especially about why it’s something you should care about.
The major thing that happened is that I was interviewed by The Arizona Republic, which is the Phoenix newspaper. It’s so funny, because The Arizona Republic is one of the straightest, most conservative newspapers in the country, so I love it that they contacted me to ask about the Vortex Energy in Sedona! They’re doing it as part of their on-going series of “Only In Arizona” and they’re right — there is no other place where this happens.
The next thing that happened was that a new client came in and asked about the Vortex Energy (which happens a lot). The third occurrence was that Bashar (the internationally known channel) was in Sedona last week-end and I went to see him and he talked about Sedona. Here’s what he says:
“Sedona is a powerful, transformational vortex unparalleled in its own way, unique in its own way, that allows for communication and connection to multiple dimensions of reality on your world.”
He went on to explain that when he says unparalleled and unique, he means that there is literally no other place on the planet where this takes place. My favorite part was him talking about how the vortex energy of Sedona causes everything to be amplified, meaning energy is amplified, love is amplified, connection is amplified, disconnection is amplified. Whatever you bring to Sedona is magnified and amplified. Thoughts, feelings, vibrations, whether positive or negative, will be more greatly enhanced and intensified on all the levels – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual.
So that’s why you should care about the Sedona Vortex Energy. Knowing there is a place you can go where everything is amplified and which allows for connection to multiple dimensions. Why going on our Peru trip will make you happier (June 17-30, 2017)
Look at that picture of Machu Picchu. Doesn’t it just “get” you? Doesn’t it just speak to something in your being?

“The Peru trip exceeded all of my expectations. Peru has been on my bucket list for many years…. I went into the trip not knowing what to expect, keeping an open mind and letting Sedona Soul Adventures guide my path. I did very little to prepare for the trip (as far as research) since I could tell once I booked, that every detail was taken care of. I loved the packet Debra sent giving details of sites we would be visiting, what we needed to bring etc. She regularly sent us updates as the date approached with reminders of things – I felt so taken care of. I felt so fortunate to be on this tour. It was clear once I landed in Lima that every detail had been covered, taking the stress and guess work out of foreign travel. On this journey to Peru, the planetary heart center, we will take the Shaman’s journey inward within ourselves. Why going to Peru will make you happier: I read an interesting article in the New York Times while I was in Peru (on my iPad). It was a report on a study about money and happiness. They looked at how much more money did people need in order to be happier and how spending the money made them happy or not. One of the things they discovered was that people think that if they made twice as much money that they would be twice as happy. But the study showed that people who had doubled their income only reported a happiness increase of about 5%. The other part of the study showed that buying lots of “stuff” didn’t increase happiness at all, but that spending money on family and friends and on significant trips made people the happiest. I was especially interested in that because I know from all the years that I’ve led these sacred journeys, I’ve never had anyone say anything but, “that was one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself”. I still stay in regular contact with people I traveled with over 10 years ago, and these are some of the deepest relationships of my life. I’ve had so many people go on both the Egypt and Peru trips and the most common thing I hear from them is about how those trips absolutely had changed our lives and continued to impact us to this day.
Stephanie told me I need to tell you how absolutely incredible, amazing and wonderful this trip is. I hope I’ve accomplished that.
