Greetings again from Egypt! Wow! what a trip! I know that most people think that we’ve found everything there is to find in Egypt, but that is not at all true. Estimates are that we have only found 10 percent of what there is to find. Digs continue and you can see people working all over Egypt. Every year there are new things to see.
This year, it was so exciting to discover that the Sanctuary at Hatsepshut’s temple has been restored and opened again to the public. It’s so exciting to see a new place that I haven’t seen before (especially considering that I’ve been coming here since 1983!). Here’s our group at the Temple and me inside the sanctuary – it’s such an incredible place.
Hatsepshut was a female Pharaoh. She started out as a queen and when her husband died and his son was too young to take over the throne, she decided “Hey, I can do this!” and became Pharaoh. She took on the false beard and started the legend that she was born of the gods by an immaculate conception and ruled as a king.
Inside the sanctuary is this carving. Richard says it looks like it could be an alien head with earphones. What do you think? This is what I love so much about Egypt. There are so many things we don’t know and I love speculating about the possibilities.
Have you read Erich von Daniken’s book, Chariots of the Gods? It’s fascinating and has lots of theories about alien origins of the Great Pyramid and other structures around the world, and suggests that ancient astronauts connected with humans. Drunvillo Melchizedek also writes about this and specifically, about Egypt (Drunvillo even used our same tour company, Guardian Travel!). I love all these theories and far out explanations.
Which brings us to the mysterious carvings on the Temple of Abydos, which was built many thousands of years ago. When you look at this carving, what do you see? At the top left, do you see a helicopter? Next to it do you see the tank? Then on the bottom right do you see the airplane? How in the world did a helicopter, a tank and an airplane get carved onto the walls of a temple built thousands of years ago? Egyptologists have no explanation and that’s one of the things I love to speculate about when we are here.
And another question, how in the world did the ancient Egyptians make these temples with colors that have lasted thousands of years? Here are the astounding colors of the Hathor Temple at Dendara. The Egyptian government started a project about 10 years ago to clean the soot and dirt resulting from early Christians living in the temples (after the temples had been abandoned). The smoke from their cooking blackened the ceilings, plus thousands of years and dirt and grime made the colors impossible to see. With a simple solution of ammonia and water, using toothbrushes, they have eliminated the dirt and grime and revealed these amazing colors. Every year they have completed more and more and it’s such a joy each year to see this and to experience the incredible energy of this temple.
But then we had one of our most amazing days, the Temple of Karnak. This is a temple complex that was built over a period of 2500 years (!) with each Pharaoh adding their own special touches. It is such a magnificent place. When I was here in 1983, I heard voices (and I don’t hear voices, that has only happened to me 3 times in my life, and the first time was here in 1983).
I discovered through a number of readings and kinesiology testing, that I had a past life in Karnak, one that has had a huge impact on this lifetime. Imagine my astonishment when I discovered that Richard was in that past lifetime with me! Actually, I shouldn’t have been surprised, because that’s how past lives work — according to Edgar Cayce, we keep coming back with the same people to work out our past issues. For Richard, it’s all about really opening up his heart more and more, which is so beautiful. Here we are at the place where I first heard voices way back in 1983. As I keep learning more and more about that lifetime and the lessons it holds for me, it’s quite amazing.
As I was contemplating all that on the balcony of our beautiful hotel overlooking the Nile, I looked up and saw this fabulous sunset and one of the Nile cruise ships floating on the river, and snapped this beautiful photo. What beauty, what deep soul connection.
We got on our boat the next day and the following morning did a hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings. Is this amazing, or what? I took this photo from our balloon, just as we had floated over the Rameseum. We had a perfect, beautiful landing. This was the first balloon ride for many of the people in our group and they loved it.
And then last night we had our Galabaya party on the cruise ship. Everyone “dressed like an Egyptian,” and it was so much fun. Here’s Richard and I with Mohammed, the owner and director of Guardian Travel. Mohammed is the son Ahmed Fayed, the founder of Guardian Travel, and Mohammed took over the business after Ahmed’s untimely death in 2003. Ahmed was known throughout Egypt and was much-beloved, and I love to see how Mohammed is following so closely in his footsteps. Guardian takes such incredible care of us, they truly are Guardians!
And that’s one of the themes we’ve talked about over and over here, is how everyone feels so incredibly safe and so well taken care of. The Egyptian people are so warm and friendly, and they love Americans. We have been pampered and cared for everywhere we go.
And last night was no exception. I’ve been bringing my groups onto this boat, The Sonesta St. George, every year for the past 7 years. The crew is virtually the same every year (right down to the jewelry store on the first floor, and the masseuse and all the waiters). They are so sweet and they all know me after all these years, so it has been so much fun to see them again and introduce them to Richard. This is his first trip to Egypt and he’s been so excited to come here ever since our wedding last October.
Last night at our special Egyptian dinner before the Galabaya party, all of the restaurant people started singing and playing drums, and they brought out a cake with a lit candle. I thought it was part of the show and then when I saw the cake, I thought it was someone’s birthday. But suddenly they were putting down the cake in front of me and it was decorated with the words “Happy Marriage.” Suddenly, Richard and I were brought up to our feet, dancing in front of everyone, then we blew out the candle and they had us cut the cake together, just like at a wedding. Then they put a big piece of it on a fork and we both had to eat the cake at the same time with no hands, which of course ended up in a very messy and tasty kiss. What a sweet surprise.
I could go on and on, there has been so much happening during these two weeks, not only the amazing places we have seen, but more importantly the incredible experiences people in the group are having. I spent yesterday afternoon floating on the Nile and connecting with one of the people in the group. She has had some incredible insights and we did a tapping session together on clearing some energy that came up that really helped her move some old patterns that were no longer serving her (Egypt does that!).
When we finished, she told me that she had used my “Bringing In Egypt” meditation to manifest this trip. She said the trip was a real stretch for her financially, but she kept using the meditation and she literally went into the energy of “I’m supposed to be on this trip” and “I belong in Egypt” and “I am going to make this trip happen.” Not only did she end up manifesting all the funds necessary for the trip (in spite of the fact that unexpected home repairs came up), but as the trip approached her mother suddenly gifted her with some money for the trip and her boss gave her a Visa gift card to do some special shopping! That’s what happens when we move into the flow and allow the Universe to work for us.
Would you like to go on the trip next year? It will be February 17 – March 3, 2019 and it will be spectacular. It looks like the new Egyptian Museum will be open by then, which will be absolutely, positively incredible.
Do what Linda did and start using the “Bringing In Egypt” meditation to manifest the trip for yourself. It’s 9 minutes, it feels really good and it will put you in the higher vibration to bring this fantastic journey into your life. Click here to download the meditation.
If you’d like to go, Click here and let us know. We’ll send you an email with all the details as soon as they are available, which should be in the next few weeks.
Decide now to go on this trip of a lifetime. Surprise yourself with what the Universe has in store for you.
Sending you so much Egyptian love and blessings,
Every year it’s such a joy for me to take people to Egypt. Everyone always has very high expectations and every year, it’s so much fun to see them get even more excited than they thought they were going to be. This is my 18th visit to Egypt (!), but it’s the first time for my husband, Richard, so it’s been especially fun to show everything to him.
On our first day, we always start out riding camels to the Great Pyramid. It is so amazing to come over the hill and then there is the Great Pyramid! To see this thing that most of us have known about since we were children and is on so many people’s bucket list is absolutely incredible.
Our camel driver took this great picture of Richard and I kissing on our camels. Richard has absolutely loved everything, it’s been more than he even imagined it would be.
And that’s what’s so incredible about Egypt. As amazing as you think it’s going to be, it’s even more amazing when you experience it.
Last night we had a fun discussion around all the different theories of who built the Pyramids and why. Was it aliens? Was it beings from another dimension? Did the ancient Egyptians know things about vibration and sound and magnetism that we don’t know? Will we ever know?
Yesterday we went to the Cairo Museum and saw the fantastic treasures of King Tut. And even though I’ve seen them 17 times before, it’s still amazing! But there’s so much more there than just that. So many statues, sarcophagi, papyrus paintings, mummies and incredible artwork. This is one of my favorite pieces, this statue of a scribe. It’s thousands of years old and the eyes are made of crystals, so when the light shines on them, you feel as if he is alive and looking straight at you.
And it’s not just about seeing the sites, meditating and doing ceremonies. Our hotel is so beautiful and it’s right next to the Pyramids! Can you imagine? It’s so amazing to sit on our balcony or drink my cappuccino in the morning and look up and see the Great Pyramid.
Last night we went to the Sound and Light show. The script and the music are so dramatic (think “Ben Hur”) and the lighting on the Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple make for such an eerie and interesting experience.
And the shopping is absolutely incredible! Today we went to Sakkara and after our visit to the Steppe Pyramid we went to a carpet factory where they make the beautiful handmade rugs that Egypt is famous for. The prices right now are absolutely incredible because the dollar is so strong against the Egyptian pound (in years past, the exchange rate was 3 to 1, now it’s 17 to 1). Almost everyone bought a rug or wall hanging, here’s Chris and Melissa very happy with the silk rug they are taking home. After all these years, I have 8 Egyptian rugs and no more places in the house to put them, so I certainly don’t need anymore. But it was hard to not buy another one! They’re so beautiful!
Tomorrow we leave for Luxor and our 5-day cruise on the Nile. I’m so excited!
Next week I’ll write again from this amazing place. And I’m posting on Facebook each day, so you can follow us there.
“I’m just so grateful that you are here, doing this. You gave me a framework to jumpstart the next step in my spiritual growth, you got me in touch with so many amazing healers/sages, and the whole experience is really beautifully thought out and put together. I do feel that I am permanently changed for having done this. And yes, I will most definitely be back! And I really hope I can join you on a Sacred Travel!”

Liz went on the Egypt trip the next year and had such an incredible time, she came on the Peru trip the following year! I love it so much that almost everyone on this Egypt trip has already done a Sedona Soul Adventures retreat. It’s so perfect. And what I really love is that the ones who have already done a retreat are telling the ones who haven’t done one that they definitely should, and how much it has changed their lives. You can’t imagine how good that makes me feel!
So with all this talk about Egypt, I don’t want you to forget about the most important thing we do — our life changing retreats for individuals and couples. If you really want to have the life or relationship of your dreams, contact us.

If someone would have told me last Sunday that Katie Kat would be gone by this Sunday, I would tell them that’s not possible. But that’s what happened. My beautiful Katie Kat, who would have been 19 in April, has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.
I loved her so much and I will miss her so much, but I’m already marveling at exactly how this played out on so many fronts. The amazing thing is that, literally one year ago (a few days before I was leaving for our Egypt trip), I took Katie Kat in for a routine visit at the vet, they did an x-ray and found a mass. I consulted my wonderful pet psychic, Sharon, and Katie Kat told me (through Sharon), “I’ve decided to transition while you’re in Egypt because you’re still so connected to me, I can’t do it while you’re here.” I cried, I begged, I pleaded, but Katie Kat was adamant, she had made up her mind, so I told her I would honor her decision. I left for Egypt, entrusting her care.
When I was in the Isis Temple in Philae, I said a prayer to Isis (the Divine Mother) asking for Katie Kat to be okay. I wasn’t asking that anything change, I didn’t want to interfere with her decision. I just asked that she be peaceful and complete. The next day I got a text from the person taking care of her saying “I don’t know what happened, but Katie Kat is eating and drinking again.”
I came home and Katie Kat looked fine. I did another session with the pet psychic and Katie Kat said “I changed my mind! I need to be here for her with Richard coming.” Katie Kat knew that my future husband was about to move to Sedona and she decided to hang around to make sure that he would be okay.
Richard moved to Sedona this past June and we got married in October. It made me so happy that she loved Richard so much. In the last weeks of her life, she took to sitting on his lap at night instead of mine (!) and in our last session, she told Sharon that “Richard has a pure heart” and she felt it was safe to leave me in his care.
About a month ago, when we noticed that Katie was deteriorating, we contacted Sharon and Katie Kat said, “I’m feeling really old, it doesn’t feel good, and I think I am going to go soon.” She told us that she was okay with being euthanized and she was pretty sure the was how we were going to have to go. She said “You’ll know when it’s time for me to go, there won’t be any question.”
Last Friday afternoon, I was sitting in my office and Katie was sitting in the sun. She tried to stand up, and fell down. Her back legs weren’t working.
Richard was at lunch with a buddy and they were supposed to play tennis after that. I called him and he came right home. I contacted Sharon and she was gracious enough to do an emergency session 2 hours later.
Katie told us “I’m ready to go. I’m hurting, I’m in pain. And I can leave now because Richard is here to take care of you.” She said she was okay with euthanasia and I asked her if she could just go on her own. She said she couldn’t, because her heart was still so strong. And it was true, her heart was beating like a machine.
We spent the rest of the hour talking it through, talking to our dogs Daisy and Missy (who were very distraught) and telling Katie Kat how much we loved her (and she told us the same).
The truly amazing thing is that Katie thanked me for allowing her to have a life where she was able to truly actualize and access her highest spiritual self. She told me her soul had chosen to be with me because we both knew this would happen. Sharon said she’s never worked with such a self-aware cat!
The next amazing thing happened Friday night. Since menopause, I have had sleep issues and have worked with one of our amazing practitioners, Leslee, who put together 2 natural elixirs that I use each night that put me to sleep and keep me asleep. I’ve been using them for a few years and they are great. I reorder them when I get even close to running out.
This past week I had spaced off re-ordering the elixirs. Finally, I ordered them and Leslee texted me they were ready right around the same time that Katie tried to stand up and couldn’t. I spaced picking them up because of everything going on with Katie Kat.
That night, after the session with Sharon, I went for the elixirs and they were empty. I went to bed and I was so exhausted that I fell asleep immediately. At 2 am, because I hadn’t had the elixir, I couldn’t stay asleep and I was wide awake and couldn’t get back to sleep. Katie Kat (who I had placed on the bed in her favorite spot, right between Richard and I) was also wide awake. So I just stayed with her for the next 2 hours with both of us just staring into each other’s eyes.
I kept telling her how much I loved her, that I would miss her, that I was okay with letting her go (Sharon said that was important) and I was thinking about all the wonderful times we had together.
I feel so blessed that I was able to have this very special time with Katie Kat, it comforts me so much. I’m a huge believer in coincidences and synchronicities. I know that my teacher would say that the Universe completely conspired for me to space off ordering the elixirs and then space off picking up the elixirs just so I would wake up at 2 am to be with her. Can you imagine everything that had to happen to make that happen?
The next morning, they told us the vet would come to the house around noon, and I appreciate so much that our vet provides that in-home service. I stayed in bed all morning with Katie Kat (that was always her favorite place to be with me). Around 10 am I remembered how much she loved to sit in the sun. But I was concerned to move her, because every time I did, she would yelp in pain.
Finally I picked up the blanket and put her in the sun. She didn’t yelp and suddenly stretched out her legs luxuriously. She so loved being in the sun. Do you see Daisy’s paw at the bottom of the picture? She wanted to be with with Katie Kat too.
I laid there for a long time with her on the floor and then the vet called to say they were on their way. Richard said “I want to take her out to see the red rocks one more time.” He was holding her and for 19 years she would never let me (or anyone else hold her). After a few minutes, I took her from him and I got to hold her. When the vet came, she said that I could hold her until the end. Which I did. It was so amazing to me that after 19 years I finally got to hold her in my arms at the end.
She was such an amazing being. I rescued her just a few months after my first trip to Sedona in 1999. She and her brothers had been left in a box on the side of a country road outside Omaha. Can you imagine someone doing that? When I got her she was so tiny and small, and so frightened of everything that it took a month of acclimating her so that she would come out from under the bed. She moved to Sedona with me in 2002, making the trek across the country.
One of my favorite stories about her happened eight years ago when my ex husband Tom and I ended our marriage. Tom immediately moved to Bali. It was very sudden and our dog, Daisy, started moping around and lying by the front door, as if she were waiting for him to come home. It broke my heart. Then she started peeing on one of my Egyptian rugs. I contacted Sharon for the first time and told her I wanted to do a session. She does the sessions on the phone and when she called me, she suddenly said, “Do you have a cat?” And I said, “Yes, Katie Kat.” She said, “I thought you only had a dog and the minute I started talking with you the cat is saying all this stuff to me, she just keeps on talking.”
I told her it was the dog I wanted to her to speak with and she asked what I wanted to tell Daisy. I said to her “Please tell Daisy that Mommy and Daddy are getting a divorce, it’s not her fault, we both love her very much, but Tom is not coming back.” She told Daisy and Daisy replied, “I know, the cat told me!”
That was Katie Kat — very wise and trying to help everybody. Daisy never peed on the rug again.
I love this photo of them – this 8 pound cat and this 100 pound dog!
I loved her so much and I know she’s going to be with me for a while. One of my intuitive friends told me to look out for her in Egypt – that she’ll be showing me some signs.
As you read this on Sunday, we are on our way to Egypt with our group and I’ll be looking for some signs of my beloved little Katie. Please send some love and light for her and for me — it helps my broken heart.
My neighbor and dear friend sent me this from the French poet Anatole France:
“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
Katie Kat certainly awakened a part of my soul, and I will love her forever. Safe journeys, my sweet little girl.
I love Bulletproof Coffee. It tastes great, it has lots of fat in it (butter from grass fed cows) and lots of energy. I also love David Asprey, who is the man behind Bulletproof Coffee. He’s a very successful Silicon Valley entrepreneur, who’s done all kinds of what he calls “Biohacks” to make his life better — he used to weigh 300 pounds (now he’s 180, he’s into meditation and generally living the most wonderful life possible).
So I received this graphic from one of his postings this week and I love it, because it’s so true. I hope you won’t be offended by this (I put in the * to help with that), but the message is so powerful.
Even if you don’t like the word, isn’t this what all of us want?
To be truly at peace.
To be truly in touch with that highest part of yourself.
So that no matter what anyone says or does, it doesn’t bother you
And no matter what happens, there is no negativity that can even touch you.
Do you feel buffeted by life? That you’re at the mercy of your boss, your mate, your children, etc.?
Or do you feel grounded and peaceful and like you can handle anything that comes at you?
Think about how you move through your day. Does every little thing set you off — getting cut off in traffic, long line at Starbucks, too much work to do, problems with your mate, children, co-workers or friends?
Or even worse, do you feel like your life is passing you by? Do you have a lot of regrets?
Or are you living a life of purpose and accomplishing all that you want, no matter what that is?
Most people that I see seem to think that they are at the mercy of forces outside of themselves. That they don’t have any control and they “can’t help it” when they react negatively and feel hopeless.
It really all comes down to a decision — are you going to live life or let life live you? What I mean by that is, are you going to be the one deciding how your life is going to be or are you going to allow yourself to be buffeted around by everything that happens?
When we are living our lives in connection on all the levels — physical, mental, emotional, spiritual — we are centered and balanced. We’re like a tree with very deep roots. We’ll feel the wind when it blows every day, but it just moves our branches around in a beautiful dance.
When you’re living your life in connection, you have the feeling and the knowing that nobody can mess with you, because you’re centered and grounded. It’s a pretty wonderful feeling.
The sad truth is, most people are living their lives in some level of disconnection – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. Things that have happened to us throughout our lives have created thoughts, beliefs, patterns and energetic blocks (what I call “gunk”) that is holding us back and making it impossible for us to move forward. That’s why we have this feeling that we’re slogging through life.
The question is, how do you get to that place? Well, it’s about finding, releasing and moving through the thoughts, beliefs, patterns and energetic blocks (the “gunk”) that is causing the trouble, moving back into connection and then staying there. And, of course, that’s exactly what happens with a Sedona Soul Adventure.
Our Angel Guides and Master Practitioners (we have over 50!) are absolutely amazing in their ability to:
It’s simply amazing what can happen in just a few days. See what happened for Lisa:
“I was skeptical and nervous at first, wondering if I was making the right choice or not. My life was falling apart, I was lost, scared, confused, and just ready to give up until I went on my Soul Adventure. Everyone there is just totally incredible. Everything they taught me I have been able to bring home and use in my daily life and I am feeling stronger and stronger. I truly believe that had I not taken this time for myself and taken my “Soul Adventure” I would not be here today. How can I ever thank all of you for what you have given me.”

Suzanne says the Peru trip was “life changing”
“The Sedona Soul Adventures Peru Trip was AMAZING! It is my second Sedona Soul Sacred Travel trip and it, like the first in Egypt, was life changing. The magic of Machu Picchu, the peacefulness of Lake Titicaca, the energy of the Apu mountain spirits is not something you can read about – it must be experienced! On this trip, we had the privilege of being in the presence of Jorge Luis Delgado, our Peruvian Shaman and Chacaruna (bridge person – messenger of light) who is an extraordinary guide, teacher and spiritual Master. I have been on my spiritual journey for approximately 10 years now, and I have learned and experienced many things, but Jorge had an incredible way of saying thing in such simple powerful ways, it was like I was learning them again for the first time. I experienced with him the power of oral tradition – that it isn’t just the words that he spoke, but it was the energy and intention he imbued into his words and ceremonies that is so special. It is that energy which touches you and teaches you. He reaches you heart to heart, rather than from your mind. He led me on a Pilgrimage to my Inner Sun that deepened my commitment to a higher level of consciousness, that increased my understanding of the Cosmos and its wonder, and that fueled my desire to shine brightly in the world. I will be forever grateful for this trip and the positive impact it -had on my life.”
