IMAGINE THIS AFTERNOON

Egypt is about to go dark at 1 o'clock
in the afternoon.

It is just after 1:00 in the afternoon in Luxor.


We're together on the deck of our private yacht on the Nile.


Around us is ancient Thebes — the land of Karnak, Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings and monuments built thousands of years ago by a civilization that revered the sun.


And then the light begins to change.


The temperature drops. The sky darkens. The moon moves completely across the sun.


And in the middle of the Egyptian afternoon, day becomes night.


For more than six extraordinary minutes, we'll stand together beneath one of the rarest astronomical events any of us will ever experience.


I've been traveling to Egypt for more than 40 years. This will be my 28th trip.


I have stood inside the Great Pyramid, between the paws of the Sphinx, inside the tombs and temples, and along the Nile more times than I can count.


But I have never experienced Egypt like this.


None of us has.


And we will never have another opportunity quite like it again.

And most importantly, this is where we plan to be on August 2 when the eclipse reaches totality over Luxor.


We'll gather together on deck as the moon moves across the sun and the Nile Valley falls into darkness around us.

Inside the Great Pyramid

Most visitors to Egypt move through the Great Pyramid surrounded by tourists and on someone else's schedule. We'll have something completely different. The Great Pyramid will be closed to everyone except our group for two full hours.


We'll have private time in both the King's and Queen's Chambers, creating space for meditation, ceremony and simply being still inside one of the most mysterious structures ever created. Also, we'll take those who wish into the Pit.


For many of the people who have traveled to Egypt with us, this becomes one of the most profound experiences of the entire journey.


Between the Paws of the Sphinx

PRIVATE - CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC

Millions of visitors have photographed the Sphinx.


Very few have ever stood here.


We'll enter the restricted area between the Paws of the Sphinx, with the space privately reserved for our group. The feeling of looking up into that inscrutable face is other-worldly. 


We'll gather there for ceremony and reflection in a place that has watched over the Giza Plateau for thousands of years.


It's one of those moments when Egypt stops feeling like somewhere you're visiting and becomes something you're experiencing.

Sekhmet Temple, Karnak

PRIVATE - NO OTHER TOURISTS

Hidden within the vast Karnak Temple complex is a small sanctuary containing an extraordinary ancient statue of Sekhmet, the lioness goddess associated with fierce feminine power, healing and transformation.


We'll have this sacred space privately for our group.


This sacred place is only available to the privileged few who arrange a private visit. We'll have time to become quiet, connect with the energy of Sekhmet and experience a ceremony together.

Depart JFK on EgyptAir, flying nonstop to Cairo — the beginning of our extraordinary journey into the mysteries of ancient Egypt.

Arrive in Cairo and settle into the Four Seasons First Residence. That evening, we'll have a very special dinner with our longtime friends, the Fayed family, in their home overlooking the Sphinx.

Our first immersion into ancient Egypt: the Pyramids of Giza, the Giza Plateau and the Valley Temple — standing in the presence of monuments that have captivated humanity for thousands of years.

Journey to Saqqara to explore the Step Pyramid, one of Egypt's earliest monumental structures, and descend into the mysterious Serapeum, home to enormous ancient stone sarcophagi whose origins and purpose still inspire wonder.

Jul 29

Fly south to magnificent Abu Simbel, one of Egypt's most awe-inspiring sacred sites, carved directly into the mountainside by Ramses II. Then we'll board our private yacht, the Merit Star 2 — ours alone — and begin our journey along the Nile.

Visit the exquisite Temple of Isis at Philae, dedicated to the beloved goddess of love, healing and divine feminine wisdom. Then we'll return to our private yacht and sail north along the Nile, arriving at Kom Ombo for a magical evening visit to the temple after dark.

July 31

Visit the magnificent Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of the best preserved temples in all of Egypt. Then relax aboard our private yacht as we sail the timeless Nile toward Luxor.

Aug 1

Enter the Valley of the Kings, including special-access tickets to the extraordinary tombs of Seti I, Ramses VI and King Tut. Later, we'll have private time with Sekhmet at Karnak, entering her sacred sanctuary with no other tourists for ceremony and connection.

Eclipse Day

The moment we've come for. We'll be together aboard our private yacht on the Nile at Luxor as the moon moves across the sun and Egypt falls into darkness for more than six extraordinary minutes of totality, viewing it from the perfect location on the Nile.

Aug 3

Sail to Dendera for our journey to Abydos, to visit the sacred Temple of Seti I,  dedicated to Osiris and long considered one of ancient Egypt's most important places of pilgrimage, rebirth and transformation. We'll also see the Osirion, where the Flower of Life is located. 

Aug 4

Our private visit to the Temple of Hathor at Dendera, one of the most beautifully preserved temples in Egypt. Dedicated to the goddess of love, joy, beauty and feminine energy, Dendera is a place where ancient color, symbolism and mystery are still astonishingly alive, as they have removed the dirt and grime to reveal the incredible colors from over 2,000 years ago. We'll do a special ceremony in this incredible place.

Aug 5

Experience magnificent Luxor Temple, once connected to Karnak by the Avenue of the Sphinxes and filled with layers of symbolism, ritual and ancient mystery. Then enjoy our final time aboard the yacht that has been our private home on the Nile.

THE GRAND FINALE:  THE SPHINX & GREAT PYRAMID

Explore the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum, home to some of the greatest treasures ever discovered in Egypt, including the extraordinary collection of King Tutankhamun.

Aug 7

Our final day is one very few travelers will ever experience.

After lunch overlooking the pyramids, we'll enter the restricted area between the Paws of the Great Sphinx for our own private time and ceremony.

Then, after the Great Pyramid closes to the public, the doors will close behind us.

For two extraordinary hours, the Great Pyramid will belong only to our group, with private time inside the King's and Queen's Chambers for meditation, ceremony and whatever this ancient place has waiting for us.

For those who wish, we will also take you into the Pit. There can be no more powerful way to complete our journey through Egypt than to be inside the Great Pyramid, just us, connecting with this incredible energy.

Aug 8

Depart Cairo for our nonstop flight to JFK, returning home with memories — and transformations — that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

We love solo travelers, and many of our guests join us on their own.

Because we've chartered the Merit Star 2 exclusively for our small group and there are only 10 cabins aboard, solo travelers will share a cabin with another guest while we're on the Nile.

If you'd like your own room while we're in Cairo, you may add the Four Seasons Single Supplement:

$2,500 per person reserves your space.

$500 of the initial deposit is non-refundable.

An additional $2,000 per person is due 30 days after your reservation, no later than November 1, 2026.

Final Balance is due February 1, 2027

Cancellation Policy

$500 of your deposit is non-refundable, plus any payments made on your behalf. If you cancel before December 1, 2026, an additional $1,600 of your deposit is non-refundable, plus any payments we've made on your behalf.
