We just got back from Egypt… and wow, what just happened here feels almost impossible to put into words.
These two journeys were nothing short of extraordinary. Incredible doesn’t even begin to touch it.
From the very first days, something opened between everyone – both groups bonded in a way that felt fast, real, and deeply heart-connected. Within what felt like moments, people weren’t just traveling together… they were seeing each other, holding each other, laughing, crying, expanding together. It’s what happens on these trips – but every time, it still amazes me.
And for those who were concerned, there were absolutely no issues at all related to the Iraq war during our time in Egypt. Egypt is geographically in Africa, not in the Middle East conflict zone, and felt completely stable and calm throughout our entire journey.
There were no problems with flights to and from the US, travel continued smoothly, and we felt well cared for and safe the entire time. In fact, we were told that Emirates Airlines strategically moved their aircraft to Egypt, knowing they would be safe.
And I have to say, Dawn Hoang was absolutely incredible.
The way she held space, supported the group, and showed up with such presence and heart made a profound difference for everyone there.
It elevated the entire experience in a way that felt seamless and powerful.
There were also two major firsts for me on this journey...
The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is finally open – and there is just no way to prepare yourself for what it feels like to stand in front of all of King Tut’s treasures in one place. It’s overwhelming in the best way: magnificent, emotional, and deeply humbling.
And it's so funny – for years they wouldn't ever let you take pictures of Tut's gold mask or jewelry. But now you can! So amazing to see it in this beautiful setting.
And then… something that stopped me in my tracks.
At the Grand Egyptian Museum, just outside the Solar Boat gallery, we stood in front of ten towering statues of Sekhmet, the fierce lioness goddess of healing and power.
I said to Richard, “They look identical, let’s find the marker of where they’re from."
We couldn’t find it and then our amazing guide, Raafat, told us their story. These ten are only a tiny glimpse of something much bigger.
Behind the Colossi of Memnon in Luxor (that's where we are in this photo), archaeologists are still uncovering hundreds of these statues – around 287 found so far, with more still emerging from the ground even now. These ten were just found a few years ago.
These statues once filled the vast mortuary temple of Amenhotep III, forming what feels like a massive energetic field, designed for protection, healing, and restoring balance.
Standing there, looking at just those ten… you could feel it. The presence. The power. The scale of what once existed.
Just let that land for a moment… Egypt is still revealing herself.
And then there were the blessings.
In each of the sacred sites where we had private access, I spoke the names and intentions of those who entrusted me with them, placing them into the field, into the energy of these ancient temples, into something far bigger than all of us.
And the feedback… was powerful. People felt it. Deeply.
But honestly, the most extraordinary moments were the ceremonies.
At Philae Temple, something opened that was so palpable, so alive, it felt like the veil thinned right in front of us.
And inside the Great Pyramid… there are no words. That's the Grand Gallery inside the Great Pyramid. The energy, the stillness, the magnitude of what moved through that space... it changed people. You could feel it in their bodies, in their faces, in the silence afterward. These weren’t just experiences. They were initiations.
And of course all the practicalities - our hotels were magnificent, the Nile Cruise was incredible, the food is so amazing and plentiful, once again it was the trip of a lifetime.
I feel so blessed that each year I get to come back to this amazing place.

And now… as we integrate all of this, I can already feel what’s next calling.
We will, of course, be returning for our usual Egypt journey in February/March of 2027 – because once you experience this, you understand why we keep coming back.
But there is something even bigger on the horizon.
In August 2027, a total solar eclipse will take place directly over Luxor, Egypt – lasting over 6 minutes, one of the longest eclipses we will experience in our lifetime.
And we will be there… gathering on the Nile, inside this ancient energy, for what I know will be an absolutely extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
