I felt like l had the best possible experts all working together to help me find and focus on my ‘true’ self. Worth every penny, and I plan to go back again for a refresher and/or to continue my development.”
~ Kelly R., Chicago, Illinois

In these series of videos I’m talking about concepts from my book, The Journey to Happy– How Embracing the Concept that Nothing is wrong can transform your life…with processes that can help you feel a lot happier right away.

And most of the time when I’m doing these videos, I’m talking to you about very heavy issues – and today I want to do something a little bit different.

I have a list of what I call, “My Favorite Spiritual Movies” and I’m going to be talking to you about them today and into the future for two reasons:

  1. They have messages that are really amazing, wonderful and helpful.
  2. Watching a movie can very often immediately make you feel better.

One of the things that I talk about a lot in my book is that when you start to feel yourself beginning to slip and just starting to not feel great, do something – anything – to start making yourself feel better… like listening to music, petting your dog or your cat, or watching a movie that makes you laugh or simply feel good.

So here’s one of these movies for me: “Groundhog Day” with Bill Murray. Have you seen this movie? Your first reaction might be, “This is a spiritual movie?” Because it is very, very funny, very irreverent; it’s Bill Murray at his best. But yes, I want to assure you it’s definitely at the top of my list of the top 10 spiritual movies of all time.

And you may not know the backstory of this – that it was written and directed by Harold Ramis, a Buddhist (he passed a few years ago), and this movie is all about consciousness. It’s all about how we perceive things and how everything can shift in an instant.

So if you’ve never seen it, watch it. And if you’ve never watched it from this perspective, definitely watch it again and you’ll see what I mean.

In the movie, Phil, played by Bill Murray, is reliving the same day (Groundhog Day) over and over again. He plays a weatherman who is covering whether or not the groundhog sees his shadow. He is stuck in his own personal hell with himself – he’s selfish, egotistical, shallow and doesn’t care about anyone other than himself.

Worse, he can’t get out of it and he can’t get away from himself. He even tells us that he hates himself.

He’s completely stuck.

And when he figures out what’s happening, that he’s reliving the same day over and over again, he goes through anger, frustration, manipulation, depression and even suicide (which doesn’t work) until something changes. He falls in love and begins to live his life from a completely different perspective; in that instant, his life changes.

It’s such an incredible parable:

When we start allowing what is, our life transforms.

When we love with no expectation or demands, we get exactly what we want.

We can transform from living in hell, to living in Heaven on Earth. It’s our choice and it just takes an instant.

Do you sometimes feel like you’re living in a kind of hell?

Do you feel like there’s nothing you can do about  it?

Well, I’m here to tell you there is something you can do about it. Your life can be transformed if you’re willing to take responsibility for your life and your creations. The way you perceive the world and the way you move in the world can be changed in an instant. I see it all the time and it is truly miraculous.

It’s all about moving out the gunk and the blocks that are holding you in disconnection and then moving you back into connection on all the levels:

  • Physical
  • Mental
  • Mmotional
  • Spiritual.

The specific ways are different for each person. That’s why our custom-designed retreats are so powerful and effective.

So call us – connect with one of our Angel Guides and let them design a retreat that can bring you back into Heaven on Earth.

I hope this helped, and if you got value from this video, please take the time to like it, share it with someone in your life who think might get something out of it, subscribe to our channel.

Are You Focusing on the Right Thing?

In my last video, I spoke with you about the idea that the first 90 minutes of your day are the most important. Studies have shown that’s when you are most productive, you have the most focus, and you have the highest level of energy and the highest level of will power.

Today I want to talk to you about what to do in the first 90 minutes of your Work. And the point of all of this is about FOCUS.

Watch my video to get some really surprising information about how important focus is. And if you have trouble staying focused, you’ll really want to watch this:

If you’re having trouble staying focused, let us help you with that. Let us clear out the gunk so that you feel more connected and focused. Connect with us and we’ll custom design a retreat that’s perfect for you.

Or if you’d prefer, call us toll-free at 1-877-204-3664 (US and Canada). For our friends outside the US and Canada, call 01 928-204-5988 or click here and one of our Retreat Guides will call you.

Carol (a therapist) came to us and says, “After my Soul Adventure, I have remained centered, focused, loving, open and giving with a clarity that I never had before. My husband said he sees a ‘new woman.’”

“After my Soul Adventure, I returned home feeling truly renewed. Though ‘life’ continues to twirl with a vengeance around me, I have remained centered, focused, loving, open and giving with a clarity that I never had before. My husband said he sees a ‘new woman.’  I clearly have ‘new tools’ for both my therapy practice and my life. My wish is that both my husband and I will return and experience Soul Adventures together. Until then…”
~ Carol H.

I spoke with you in my last video about the idea that the first 90 minutes of your day are the most important. Studies have shown that’s when you are most productive, you have the most focus, and you have the highest level of energy and the highest level of will power. And I spoke with you about things you can be doing in those first 90 minutes to set the tone for the rest of the day, which is really about setting the tone for the rest of your life.

If you want to set the tone, here are the suggestions I gave you in the last video:

  • HeartMath Heart Coherence Technique (if you don’t know what that is, Google it; its effects are sort of astounding)
  • Meditation
  • Exercise
  • Write in Your Journal
  • Do a Gratitude Journal
  • Read Inspirational Books
  • Plan Your Day
  • Drink Water (with lemon)

Today I want to talk to you about what to do in the first 90 minutes of your Work.

Depending on the kind of work you do, you may not have total flexibility with this, but if you do, this can be magical.

The point of all of this, is FOCUS.

Most thought leaders these days are in agreement that FOCUS is the most important thing we need in our lives – that it’s even more important than intelligence and creativity

Did you really rear that?

Yes. Most people agree and studies have shown that focus can be even more important than intelligence and creativity.

When we’re unfocused, we’re scattered, we’re adrift and the worst part is, we feel like we are never accomplishing anything. It’s a terrible feeling.

So let me ask you – What do you do with the first 90 minutes of your work day?

Hopefully you’ve started the first 90 minutes of the day with meditation, gratitude and exercise, but what do you do next?

Do you have a process for keeping yourself focused?

Are you prone to distraction throughout the day?

Do you…

  • Check your email, texts and other social media constantly? (Do you have special dings for notifications? — That will definitely make you distracted).
  • Do you spend a lot of time on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram?
  • Do you spend a lot of time on YouTube watching videos of cute kittens and puppies?

Don’t get me wrong, videos of cute kittens and puppies and laughing babies make me happy. And I’m not perfect in this area — it’s so easy for me to get distracted. All of a sudden I’ll get a notification of something on Facebook. I’ll go to check that and then on the sidebar I’ll see that some celebrity has done something outrageous and then I’ll give myself a guilty pleasure and click on that… and then on the sidebar there’s some YouTube video that sounds especially interesting and uplifting, so I’ll click on that, until I finally Stop!

And this is the big reason why you have to stop this:

Studies have shown that it takes 21 minutes(!) to really get back into what you were doing. So think about it, if you let yourself get distracted 6 times during the day, that’s over 2 hours that it takes to really get you back into what you were doing.

I’m not saying don’t go on Facebook anymore, but honestly, does it really help you that much? And I’m not saying don’t go on YouTube — there are lots and lots of inspiring videos on YouTube. What I am saying is that living your life with FOCUS will make you feel better. It will make every area of your life feel better.

And then you might want to look a little deeper, such as asking yourself why are you so easily distracted? Why do you have feelings that you should always be accomplishing more and more? Why do you have feelings that no matter what you do, it’s never enough?

A few months ago, we had someone here for a retreat who came to us because she felt like her life was out of control. Sarah said her brain felt scattered, she couldn’t accomplish anything at work because she was constantly distracted, she felt somewhat anxious all the time, and she had trouble sleeping because her mind was always racing and it was making her miserable.

Every area of her life was suffering, from her work to her finances to her relationships. Because that’s what happens — when we have problems that are affecting us deeply, they end up affecting every area of our lives.

She kept telling us, “If I could just get more done, then I would feel better, and I wouldn’t feel so out of control.” In talking with her, we found out that she grew up in a household where she never felt like she was good enough. No matter what she did, it wasn’t enough.

Her father had left her mother very unexpectedly when she was five and in one of her sessions, we discovered that her little five-year-old self was still blaming herself for her father leaving (even though the real reason had been infidelity and emotional abuse, but when we’re five years old, we don’t understand things rationally and we tell ourselves things like, “If only I would have done this,” or “If only I would have done that, maybe daddy would have stayed.”).

Her father leaving had created this huge empty hole in her heart and soul — she was always waiting for the other shoe to drop, she was always waiting for something to go wrong. And when we hold ourselves in the energy that things are going to go wrong, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and then things always go wrong!

We did some sessions that cleared up this huge empty hole. In her breath work, she had a direct experience of the Divine Mother and felt the first real love she had ever felt in her life. She felt her angels around her and knew she wasn’t alone. She came back into connection on all levels (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) and realized she didn’t have anything to be afraid of. And even better, she didn’t have anything she had to prove.

In her final integration, she decided she wanted to do the following, which are, by the way, the two things I want to suggest you do:

  1. Start each day with meditation.
  2. Spend the first 90 minutes of the work day doing the top two things that if you do them, it will make you feel like you had really accomplished something for that day.

So let me expand on that a little bit:

We talked in the last video about doing the first 90 minutes of your day:

  • HeartMath Heart Coherence Technique
  • Meditation
  • Exercise
  • Write in Your Journal
  • Do a Gratitude Journal
  • Read Inspirational Books
  • Plan Your Day
  • Drink Water (with lemon)

So you know what those are.

On really staying focused, I’m going to invite you to do two things:

  1. Always have the top two things that you know are the most important things that you have to do next on the top of your To Do list
  2. Spend the first 90 minutes of your work day doing those first two things (not email or texting)

On having your top two things, make a To Do list, listing out absolutely everything you know you have to do. You might want to list work things and personal things separately, but list everything on the list and as soon as you think of another one, put that on your Master list. Studies have shown that listing everything out saves you energy from trying to remember things.

When you complete your top two things, determine what your next top two things are, and keep that rotating. Sometimes something might come up during the day to become your number one thing that you have to do, but you always know that you are working on your top two things.

At the end of the day, determine top two for the next day. So you always know what the next most important thing is that you need to be doing and you always finish the day feeling like you accomplished something.

This is why I’m such a proponent of getting up early. When I get up early, I have control over my first two things that I want to get done and I can usually have them finished before phone calls and emails start interrupting me.

And here’s one final idea for maintaining focus:

Only read and answer email twice each day.

Once in the morning, and once in the afternoon. You can train people who work with you to let them know, “I only answer my email once in the morning and once in the late afternoon.” If your job doesn’t allow you to do this, then only answer it once each hour. Anything to cut down on the distractions.

Remember, it takes 21 minutes to get yourself fully back into your work after a distraction, do anything you can to stop those breaks. If your boss tells you to do email more often, tell them about the 21 minute rule.

So what happened for Sarah, the woman I told you about who felt so out of control?

I spoke with her again two months after her retreat and she couldn’t quite believe how much things had changed in such a short period of time. All of the transformations of filling up that hole inside had stuck with her. She was meditating every single morning and she was doing her top two things at the beginning of her work day. She told me, “I feel whole for the first time in my life.”

She’s doing exactly what I’ve been talking about in these two videos: She’s beginning of her day with things that make her feel really good and she’s focusing to accomplish the most important things.

But even more important – she was able to come back into connection and stay there.

So let me ask you:

Do you feel unfocused?
Do you feel scattered?
Does your mind race while you lie in bed trying to get to sleep?
Do you feel anxious?
Do you constantly feel like you should be doing more and more?

What I’ve found in these 17 years of working with people here, is that these feelings are usually on top of something deeper. When we find those, clear them and come back into connection, everything changes.

Let us help you with that. Let us clear out the gunk so that you feel more connected and focused. Connect with us and we’ll custom design a retreat that’s perfect for you.

Life Transformation

Personal Growth

Complacency can become dangerous as it breeds the notion that we no longer need to grow. Personal growth is vital for us to live a healthy and meaningful life. The lack of change can lead to dissatisfaction as we are bound to get stuck in a certain way, perception or even environment.

How To Achieve Life Transformation

Life transformation does not simply happen out of nowhere. It is comprised of continuous effort and internal motivation in order to achieve self development. Most of the time, the problem is not that we do not want personal growth, the problem is typically knowing how or where to start. Here are some steps that can help you achieve life transformation:

     1.    Asses the past but have a vision of what you want your future to be.

Most people go through life caught up in the routine and mostly sleepwalking their entire lives. Refusal to exert effort in understanding your purpose can leave you feeling empty and frustrated. Connect with your inner self and know what you want. Be specific with how your future should be. You’ll be surprised that circumstances will usually unfold according to your vision of the future.

     2.    Express your envisioned future.

Whether it’s a change in career, reinvention of self, change of location or even moving on from a failed relationship, expressing it starts the process of leading you to the change you are seeking. Write it, sing it, talk about it, create a painting or drawing about it, just express this desire in the way that feels most real for you. Let the Universe know that you want it and that you are ready to go through this life transformation.

     3.    Plan your steps to achieve it.

Changes do not happen overnight, it is a result of a series of events and circumstances brought by our choices.  Evaluating what you need to change and dealing with issues that are holding you back can lead you to your envisioned future.

Building Realistic Relationship Through Couple’s Retreat

Understanding Relationship Myths

Myths about relationships, according to experts, drive away the happiness that keeps you together. If you have this perception that everything in your life should go a certain way, then you may be in for a lot of disappointments. Frustration is the foremost killer of love.  When you are put in a situation wherein nothing is going the way you expect it to, the tendency is that you will vent your anger out to your partner.  If you ever feel like you are veering toward this direction, better do something about it now and go on a couple’s retreat. Here are some common relationship myths that mislead couples today:

  1. Good relationships do not need much work to succeed. – Contrary to that belief, it is actually the relationships that are given the most effort and time that prove to be most enduring. According to psychologists, culture, parenting style and even the education system, do not prepare individuals for this kind of mindset.  Oftentimes, we are given the notion that it is only the bad things which we need work hard on.  Experts have compared good relationships to bountiful gardens. You would not get such a thriving outcome if you will not put your heart, soul and even faith into it.
  2. If you are in love, then you will automatically know what the other’s feelings and needs are. – Romantic couples are not pairs of fortunetellers. You cannot predict what your partner is seeking simply by gut feeling.  And vice-versa, you can’t expect your partner to know what you’re thinking when you’re not talking. Active communication and honest interaction are some of the things that have to be present in a good relationship.  Taking spiritual retreats together can help you become more open and understanding with each other.
  3. Jealousy is the ultimate sign of love. – Occasional fights make the relationship more interesting.  However, if you are constantly engaged in a battle with your sweetheart because of jealousy, then it’s clearly not love.  It all just translates to lack of trust and irrational possessiveness. If you allow insecurity to get in between the two of you, then you are doomed. Couple’s retreat gives lovers the chance to reconnect and establish their faith in each other.
  4. Couples who go for therapy are facing relationship dilemmas.– Seeking counsel from experts does not necessarily mean having relationship troubles.  Sometimes couples seek advice from experts merely to strengthen their bond and prevent any small mishaps to turn into something destructive.  One of the things being recommended by therapists to make couples grow much closer is to go on spiritual getaways.

Better Relationships With Spiritual Retreats

If you want your relationship to last, do something memorable with your partner and you also need to do away with the relationship myths. In fact, what you need to do is work on creating a relationship that makes both of you happy. Make every moment worth it and enjoy the experience together. Transform Your Life Through Spiritual Retreats

Taking Control of Your Life

Transforming your life is an act that starts within you. You cannot tell yourself that you can’t change your life because of circumstances or because of other people. Self-development is an act that is taken upon by the individuals themselves and not forced by anyone. It is the ultimate manifestation of how one is in control of their life.
A lot of people may feel that transforming their life depends on certain timing, people or situation. The ‘what if” or “if only’s” have been the usual statement starter of those who are slumped and feel that they do not have the control to change their lives. What’s worse, most people blame these external factors instead of making themselves accountable to implement changes. Here are a few tips on how you can get away from the blame game and start taking control of your life.

  1. Be tolerant and find a justification – most of the time, our failures are not really failures but rather delays in our journey. They become painful when we magnify the bad aspects of a certain incident. Remember that everything happens for a reason. Find justification and learn to be tolerant and accept the fact that it’s not the end of the world. It could be timing, something doesn’t fit or maybe something better is on its way. Being tolerant and our ability to come up with justifications can make it easier for us not to blame other people or things for the unlikely incidents in our lives.
  2. Remember that you create your own perception – it’s either the glass is half full or half empty, you can choose wisely. Positive thinking can bring you a long way in achieving your dreams and living a life that’s not “dependent” simply on circumstances. If you look at yourself and your life in a positive view, you will see that you have more opportunities than you can imagine.
  3. Be accountable of your mistakes – to err is human. You’re not supposed to be perfect.  Handling and being accountable in these mistakes makes us different from one another. Remember that we are faced with choices every day and they come with different consequences, regardless of the result, we let them happen and these mistakes are ours so accept and learn from them.
  4. Stop pointing your fingers and get back on track – blaming other people or circumstances will not help you move forward. More or less, it invites resentment. Remember that when something goes wrong, the blame game won’t help. Instead, go back to the issue and focus on how to deal with it.

Transform Your Life through Spiritual Retreats

It is easy to blame failures on other people and circumstances but it doesn’t help us to transform our lives and achieve our full potential. A huge part of finding purpose in life is by having control and when we blame others we have no control. Sedona Soul Adventures provides customized retreats that helped people transform their lives for the better. With their spiritual retreats, they have helped people to reconnect with themselves and find their life’s purpose. Solve Relationship Insecurities Through Couple’s Retreats

Addressing Relationship Insecurities

For many couples, maintaining a healthy relationship can be a challenge as our society has so many clichés on how a perfect relationship should be. Romantic vacations may help to bring back the connection between partners, however, most individuals back into the traps of relationship insecurities.
While romantic vacations maybe a good idea, looking into the real issues of relationship insecurities takes soul searching and commitment. Relationships exposes an individual to emotional vulnerability and these insecurities may be rooted from one’s fear of rejection and fear of loss. Here are some tips to overcome relationship insecurities:

  1. Do not create problems when there is none – more often than not, people are inclined to think what could go wrong when things are “too good to be true”. Do not confuse this with reality. Sometimes, when we assume we know what the other person is doing or how they will react, it can lead to self-torment that makes one miserable and unhappy.
  2. Do not be carried away with the clichés – our society has given us pictures of how relationships should be. Whether we admit it or not, not all of them are realistic. Relationships are unique and people express their love in different ways. Do not assume that just because your partner is not meeting your expectations, your relationship is doomed.
  3. Give space for personal developments – remember that you and your partner are two different individuals with different needs. Your own personal growth is important in order to keep your relationship healthy. Give enough space for your relationship to breathe and do things that may not necessarily require you to be with your partner. Have your own hobbies, your own circle of friends and try to achieve your own goals as well.
  4. Communicate instead of mind reading – no matter how delicate or how hard the issues are, it is imperative that partners should talk about them. Do not assume or attempt to read each other’s minds as this will result in confusion and misunderstanding. Talk to each other.
  5. 5.    Treat your relationship not as a continuation of your past relationships – leave the old baggage behind. Sure you’ve been hurt and learned your lessons but that doesn’t mean your partner has to endure all the burdens of your pains from your past relationships. Be fair and understand that your relationship is not in anyway, a saga of your past.

Couple’s Retreats to Overcome Relationship Insecurities

Most of these relationship insecurities are rooted from self-confidence issues and one’s ability to trust their partner. If you are experiencing these insecurity issues, try to find a meaningful getaway and attend a couple’s retreat. Spiritual retreats for couples can help you understand yourself, your partner and reconnect with each other. Call Sedona Soul Adventures today at 877-204-3664 to help you get started!

Personal Growth Retreats

Obstacles as Part Of Personal Growth

Obstacles are part of our daily lives. Every day, we go around our daily chores and face various obstacles that make our tasks more difficult than they should be. These obstacles can be distractions or may come as direct challenges for us to accomplish what we need our goals. Personal growth comes from conquering these obstacles and not running away from them.
Spend some quiet time with yourself and carefully look at each situation from an objective point of view. Obstacles, no matter how big or small, are our opportunities for growth and how we deal with them can make a big difference. Here are some tips on how to handle obstacles:

  1. Face it – facing obstacles means accepting that you’re supposed to encounter them one way or the other. Remember that no triumph is without obstacles. Do not be anxious or give in to the fear of failing. Once fear takes over, we’ll never be able to move onto the next step. Understanding that we all need these challenges for growth and conquering our obstacles gives meaning and purpose to our life.
  2. Acknowledge the feelings – the meaning of life depends on how we view it in general and understand that it’s natural to feel anxiety or fear during challenging situations. Try not to deny these emotions as humans are bound to experience them. Acknowledge the fact that you may feel anxiety and fear but do not try to cast them aside as it is natural to have these emotions in trying times.
  3. Understand the reason behind your fears – most of the time, people do not actually fear the actual obstacle but rather the assumed effects of these obstacles. Most of these fears are caused by our pessimistic view and assumptions based on what we think will happen. Find out where your anxieties are coming from – is it from a previous experience, is it from fear of failing or from other people’s experience? Now, address those reasons so you can focus on how to actually conquer the obstacles.

Our minds are very powerful when it comes to molding us to face and conquer the obstacles in our way. Most of the time, understanding yourself is the best source of confidence to overcome these obstacles. It all starts from believing these obstacles are conquerable.

Spiritual Retreats for Personal Growth

To fully reach your potential, it takes a good understanding of yourself. Spiritual retreats are a good way to really know yourself and be more connected to your inner soul. Being connected to yourself can give you a more positive view about yourself and a greater understanding why obstacles are part of achieving personal growth. Emotional Intimacy Through Couple’s Retreat

Achieving Emotional Intimacy Between Couples

Living a meaningful life means being able to keep meaningful relationships as well. Life is not purely based on personal success but rather having to experience emotional intimacy with the most important people in our lives. Emotional intimacy is not exclusive between partners; we can experience this with our friends and family. For people who lack this kind of intimacy in their relationships, life may be less meaningful and happy.
For couples, having emotional intimacy is one of the primary pillars of keeping the relationship strong and growing. Here are a few tips for couples who struggle achieving emotional intimacy with each other:

  1. Understand why you prevent intimacy. Reasons for preventing intimacy may vary. Each individual may have experienced being hurt from the past or grew up in an environment where expressing emotional intimacy is not encouraged. Think about why opening up to your partner scares you. What is it that makes you fear being emotionally vulnerable. Once you find out the cause, you can address this issue and move on from it.
  2. Express affections physically. The sense of touch is one of the most important senses that we have. And as always, there is more to touching people as simply feeling them physically. Touching tends to develop a connection between two individuals and is one of the most effective expressions of love. A mother’s touch can soothe an infant’s restlessness, just like a hug from a friend can make one feel better. If you and your partner can share affections physically, such as hugging and kissing on a regular basis, you develop a deeper connection and understanding as it conveys acceptance and love.
  3. Understand that emotional intimacy is more than just about sex. A lot of people often associate sex with intimacy. Although it is a form of intimacy, it is not the sole manifestation of it. Emotional intimacy is deeper than sharing physical intimacy; it is connecting with each other at a more meaningful level. Understanding each other, how they feel and really knowing them as a person more than just a lover are just a few examples of real intimacy.
  4. Open up slowly. Emotional intimacy may not happen if either partner is not willing to disclose who they really are to each other. This doesn’t mean huge revelations but a natural sharing of secrets and preferences will help you and your partner understand each other. This act of sharing tends to make you and your partner more intimate as you are revealing your thoughts, dreams and other things that you might not normally share with each other.

De-stress Through Women Retreats

Handling Stress For Women

Living life to the fullest, especially for women, may also mean facing some stressful moments as this is a part of our personal development. There are a lot of getaways for women but the key is to really know the basics of how we can face these challenging times and still be able to live a purpose driven life.
Stress can be caused by so many things and can drive us to the brink if we do not know how to handle them well. Here are a few tips for women on how to handle stress effectively:

  1. Take refuge in a moment of silence on a daily basis. Our lives are full of distractions and tasks that can simply drain us right away. We are so immersed with technology and a fast paced lifestyle that it is not surprising that most of us are burned out or no longer maintaining our balance. Take a personal retreat from all these things and make time for yourself. Get a dose of silence, away from all the distractions, away from our roles and enjoy the calmness and peace brought by silence.
  2. Find and enjoy your passion. Passion is caused by inspiration. When we are inspired, we tend to be more active and alive. Follow your passions and make sure that you take time to pursue them. Whether this is as simple as painting or sketching, you should always practice it on a regular basis as people who follow their passion tend to be in a focused “zone” which helps in relaxing.
  3. Eat right, sleep well and exercise. Taking care of our body is no longer an option, it is a must. People who eat a balanced and regular meal, sleep enough and engage in physical activities tend to be more energetic and more resilient from stress. You do not have to be an ultra fit guru to have a healthy body but if you have a healthy lifestyle you will be more resilient to stress.
  4. Laugh and cry.  We all know that laughter is the best medicine and it can uplift anyone’s mood. Don’t be afraid to laugh at yourself, go see a funny movie or spend time with a person who can make you laugh. On the other hand, you can also cry out all the stress. Crying is a release and a form of cleansing. So if you’re sad or stressed, just cry it out, afterwards you will feel relaxed.

Meaningful Getaways For Women

The tips above are some of the few things you can start from home. However, if you want a quality, meaningful type of relaxation and rejuvenation, try to go on a spiritual retreat. Meaningful Life In Spite of Worries

Finding the meaning of life is defined by the present and not necessarily based on the past actions or future plans that we have. Every day, people may find themselves worrying about making the right choices, especially the outcome of these choices. This uncertainty causes people to be anxious, and we all know that anxiety or worrying can lead to an unhealthy life.

Dealing with Worries

Holistic health requires spiritual and mental care in order to be really healthy. As a simple remedy to do away with worries, here are some tips on how to deal with worries once you experience them.

  1. Having a meaningful life means acknowledging the present and its challenges. In line with this, acknowledging worry is one way of dealing with it. Self-awareness is the key in dealing with stress, especially worries. Simply letting yourself be aware that yes, you are worried.
  2. Recognize and accept its existence. Most people who try to keep their life in control often avoid the fact that it’s natural to be worried. Nobody is really aware of all the things they do on a daily basis. First, our lives are entwined with other people and secondly, our choices may have circumstances that are beyond our control. So it’s alright, accept that worrying is part of the process.
  3. Be open to the feeling. Embrace that it is human nature not to be perfect and therefore expect some unexpected turn of events even if you had everything laid down in every detail. A meaningful life consists of mistakes and lessons and not having any of the two means you are not growing as a person. Worrying is part of this phase and therefore it is an essential emotion to feel.
  4. Make a decision to keep going even if you’re worried. Worrying can be distracting so it’s good to be determined regardless of the uncertainties. Make it an intention to move forward regardless of the challenges and stresses that come. If we’ll stop and entertain our worries, we may never get to start the things we need to do.
  5. A meaningful life is also about sticking with your decisions continuing with the things you need to do. Worries can be a powerful discouragement but they can also help you create productive steps for contingencies. If people never worry, a lot of things that help our lives to be more productive may have never been invented.
