Her Stepson Tried to Erase Her
Return to Egypt — Sacred VIP Tour │ February 15–28, 2027
Hatshepsut was a woman who ruled Egypt as Pharaoh, and the way the story is usually told, her stepson never forgave her for it, because he believed the throne should have been his and that she had taken something that belonged to him.
So years after she died, he set out to erase her. He had her name chiseled off the walls. He had her statues pulled down and broken into pieces, and the pieces buried. He walled up part of her obelisk at Karnak so nobody would read what it said about her.
Do you see what happened there? By burying her, he saved her!
The statues he smashed and buried went into the ground and stayed there, protected from the weather and the quarrymen and the thieves and the three thousand years that wore almost everything else away — and when the archaeologists finally dug them up, they were in far better shape than the monuments that had stood out in the open the whole time. The part of the obelisk he walled in is the part where the carving is still crisp. Everything he left exposed is the part that's gone.
He meant to obliterate her, and instead she has ended up as one of the pharaohs we know the most about.
We go to her on February 20. That's the day we cross the Nile to the Valley of the Kings, where we have the coveted ticket into the tomb of Seti I, which was closed to the public for years, plus special tickets for King Tut and Ramses VI. Then we go to her mortuary temple, built into the cliffs, and I always tell people to stand there for a minute before they start taking pictures… it is really something!
Twenty-two of us will be standing in her temple that day, which is all this trip ever holds, and in recent years every one of these trips has sold out. It will be my twenty-seventh time going.
You'll find the whole itinerary on the page below.

"This is Probably Our Last Shot"
Jenna and Briana sat at opposite ends of the couch in our first session, arms folded, not even looking at each other, and the first thing Jenna said was, “This is probably our last shot.” Briana didn't disagree.
They had been together six years and had broken up three times, each time more painful than the last. Their friends called them on-again, off-again, as though it were a quirk, but that isn't what kept them spinning in circles. It was fear — they were terrified of losing what they had, and just as terrified that it was never really going to work.
Jenna grew up in chaos, with a father who came and went, and as a little girl she learned to read every current in the room and make peace before anybody walked out. Briana grew up with the opposite, two quiet parents who never fought, never hugged, and never said I love you, so she learned to disappear into her own head, where it was safe.
So every time Jenna reached for closeness, Briana froze, and every time Briana pulled away, Jenna panicked. If a text went unanswered for an hour, Jenna's heart was racing, and if Briana asked for a little space, Jenna heard rejection. And Briana wasn't shutting down to punish anybody… she was shutting down so she wouldn't fail again.
In their private sessions, the Core Wounds came up clearly. Jenna's was I don't matter, and Briana's was I'll never get it right — two completely different wounds, and each one kept setting the other one off.
It's a little like Hatshepsut's story, only backwards. Her stepson did everything he could to destroy her, and ended up protecting her. Jenna and Briana did everything they could to protect what they had, and that was the very thing wearing it away.
Once the old wounds were cleared, we gave them a handful of practices for keeping what they'd found, and two of them you could start this week. Before every serious conversation, they would pause, take three slow breaths together, and picture a golden light around the two of them. It felt a little awkward at first, and within a week those breaths had become their bridge.
The other is a weekly Yes Night, where one of them plans something joyful and the other one has to say yes. For them it started with stargazing, and some nights it was dancing barefoot in the living room! Just as important, they each said out loud that they were all in.
A few months later Jenna told us, “We don't try to fix each other anymore.” And Briana added, “We finally know how to hold each other, even through the hard times.”
So let me ask you: when the person you love pulls away, what do you hear? And when they reach for you, what do you do?
Three breaths and a Yes Night are a lovely place to start, and I hope you'll try them. The part that took the fear out of those two happened first, though, in their sessions with our Master Practitioners — there are more than 50 of them — in a retreat custom-designed around exactly where Jenna and Briana were.
Can you imagine not being afraid of losing each other anymore?
The place to start is a phone call with one of our Soul Guides. Tell them what keeps happening between the two of you, and if a retreat is the right next step, they'll build one around it.
Book your call with a Soul Guide.
(Jenna and Briana's whole story, and all four parts of the High-Vibe Maintenance Formula that kept them together? That's Chapter 14 of our new book, High-Vibe Relationship — coming soon.)
