She Went from Hopeless and Helpless to Happy, Empowered and Loving Herself

We received this really amazing review from Sarah (not her real name) just before Christmas and I’ve been waiting to share it with you because it’s so incredible! It’s long, but I hope you’ll take the time to read it because I think it will speak to you if you have ever felt hopeless, helpless, sensitive, powerless, upset, angry, overwhelmed or out of control this past year.

Oh my goodness. Let’s unpack everything that happened here. Sarah came to us in complete overwhelm and who wouldn’t be, with two young children, her own business and everything that’s happened to all of us during the past year?

Discovered “the real me”
Feels passion again
Loves and honors herself

But I want to make sure you understand the biggest thing we did and the biggest thing Sarah got. As she says:

“I soon learned all the hurt and pain
I subconsciously became accustomed to as a little girl
became the very reason I was struggling the way I was as an adult.
An adult with two babies who felt like
she had no power or control over her own existence.”

This is the core of the work that we do here. Most people think that their unhappiness and upset and negative emotions are caused by their circumstances – in Sarah’s case, two young children, her own business, her marriage on the rocks, the pandemic.

And yes, of course those circumstances make us feel hopeless, helpless, sensitive, powerless, upset, angry, overwhelmed and out of control.

But I know from over 40 years of doing this work, that our circumstances are actually happening to us as a trigger to get us to heal the wounds and pain and hurts from our past that are subconsciously controlling us.

Everyone (and I do mean Everyone) has these wounds and pain and hurts and blocks (what I generically call “gunk”). And they’re all the result of things that happened to us in our past, usually with our parents. We develop thoughts of “Not Enough-ness”:

I’m not good enough.
I’m not smart enough.
There’s something wrong with me.

Just generally, “I’m not enough.”

The wounds and gunk are different for everyone but they show up in ways that cause us unhappiness – leaving us feeling hopeless, helpless, sensitive, powerless, upset, angry, overwhelmed or out of control. It’s different for everyone.

And until those are cleared out, we’re at their mercy, and most of the time, we blame other people and we feel even more hopeless.

Sarah did the greatest thing she could do. She came to us and the gunk got cleared out. She now feels happy, hopeful, empowered and in love with her husband again.

This trip is just so extraordinary. It’s such a beautiful combination of all the places you absolutely have to go to, combined with the spiritual aspects of connecting with Egypt’s powerful energy. We go to all the must-see places:

To see the actual tomb and the mummy of King Tutankamun is so amazing. We will also see the treasures of his tomb in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The Tomb of King Seti I is absolutely spectacular and Queen Nefertari’s tomb (she was the favorite wife of Ramses II) has been called “The Sistine Chapel of Egypt.” Very few people are allowed to see these tombs, so this is a very special part of our trip this year.

Plus, we’ll be doing ceremonies and meditations, and discussing the alternative theories of who built the Pyramids, who built the Sphinx (and when) and why are there carvings of a helicopter, a tank and a submarine in the walls of the Temple of Abydos?

Having two hours of private time just for our group inside the Great Pyramid for meditation and ceremonies is beyond belief!

Plus, we just have fun. Here we are dressing up like Egyptians for Galabaya Night.

I love this photo, it so demonstrates what happens on this trip – having breakfast at the fabulous 5 star Mena House right next to the Pyramids, three people who didn’t know each other before this trip connecting and having a fabulous time, about to start another incredible day of exploration, wonder and awe.

And to go on a journey like this with other like-minded travelers – it’s just the icing on the cake. Don’t be concerned if you don’t have a companion to travel with – our groups are typically in love with each other within 48 hours, making friends that last a lifetime.
