Meet our new puppy, Patricia!
Oh my gosh, what a bundle of love she is. This is my absolute favorite photo of her so far with our friend Aubrey who brought her back from Seattle, which is one of the amazing synchronicities of this amazing being coming into our lives.
Those of you who have been with me for a long time know about how incredible it was when our sweet Beauregard, our Goldendoodle, came into our lives five years ago and joined our beloved Missy.

You also know how heartbreaking it was when Missy passed last August at 17. We spoke with her through our wonderful pet psychic about a month after her passing and she said, "I love you both so much and I want to come back to you."
When we got Beau it was all so incredible, because we had lost our beloved Golden Retriever, Daisy. A few months after Daisy's passing, I suddenly looked at Richard on a Wednesday at about 4 o'clock and said, "I'm done working, I'm tired, I'm hungry, let's go to Picazzo's" (a Sedona pizza place where we usually go on Monday evenings and eat at the bar - lots of locals go there). He said, "But it's so early," and I said, "I don't care, I want to go."
We got there and our friend Puma was there. She suddenly told us she was getting a Goldendoodle puppy who was coming from Colorado and she thought there was one left. We got Beauregard, but he was coming from the breeder in Colorado the last week we were in Egypt, so he stayed with his brother with Puma. Puma told us later that as she was driving home that day, she got an intuition to stop at Picazzo's, which was weird because it was so early in the day, etc. We all agreed it was kismet.
Fast forward to October 8, five years later and we had lost Missy in August. It was Wednesday, about 4 o'clock and I said to Richard, "I'm done working, I'm tired, I'm hungry. I want a lemon drop martini, let's go to Picazzo's." He said, "But it's so early," and I said, "I don't care, I want to go."
When we got there, I sat next to Aubrey who I know from seeing her at the bar on Mondays. We both remarked it was weird we were there on Wednesday, because we always go on Mondays. She then showed me this photo and I said, "Oh my gosh, are you getting a new puppy?" She said, "No, we just lost a beloved Golden Retriever and my husband wants to get a bigger dog, a German shepherd. My friend is a breeder in Seattle and he's holding this little one for me, but we've decided not to take her."
Oh my Goddess, I immediately fell in love. Then we found out 1) She's a Labradoodle, just like Missy (Richard and I both went nuts), and 2) They had named her Patricia. Patricia is Richard's mother's name. We said, "Oh my gosh, it's a sign." We did a session with our pet psychic to make sure Beauregard was on board and it turns out he and Patricia had already been in communication!
Aubrey lives part time in Seattle and part time in Sedona and she had already made plans to bring Patricia back on the plane (first class, of course!), but she had to do it on a date where Richard and I were out of town, just like we were in Egypt when Beauregard came.
In steps Puma and, just like with Beauregard, she took care of Patricia for the first five days she was in Sedona.
Here's Beauregard and Patricia playing with Puma at our house. They spent Thanksgiving with her as well, while we visited family in Scottsdale. Like us, they both love her!
Everything with Patricia played out just as it had with Beau!
But it gets better. We did another pet psychic session a few weeks after we got her and suddenly she said, "I'm back, I'm back, I'm back," and it was Missy coming through. She said, "I thought I might be dreaming, but now I know I'm really in this body." I mean, you can't make this stuff up!
In the session, Beauregard said, "I was praying so hard that you would come back, I missed you so much," and we congratulated him on his incredible manifestation.

So we are a family with two four leggeds again and we couldn't be happier. We're having the same issues with having her pee in the yard as with Beauregard (the subject of the song), but that will come. Isn't she adorable?
