Nothing is Wrong with Your Life – and Ways to Make That be True for You
In my last video, I talked about how Nothing is Wrong With You. If you haven’t seen it, I really want to encourage you to watch it here.
So the next logical step is really getting it that Nothing Is Wrong With Your Life. Watch the video:
If you want to get happy, these are the most important principles for you to learn and understand. And if you’re having difficulty with that, please come to Sedona and do a retreat with us. Call us and connect with one of our Retreat Guides. They’ll speak with you (or both of you for a couple) in deep conversation, really digging deep to get at what’s causing the problems. Then they’ll custom design a retreat that will clear out the blocks and gunk, and bring you into a place of love, acceptance, peace and happiness on all levels.
When that happens, every part of your life is operating on all cylinders.

Today I’m talking to you about the radical idea that Nothing is Wrong with Your Life.
Before we start, I know you’re out there saying, “You’re crazy, Debra, my life sucks, and who are you to tell me that there is nothing wrong with my life?”
Okay, just slow down, let’s back up a little and stay with me for a little bit. Because I’ll tell you when I finally got this – all the areas of my life completely turned around.
So, it sort of starts like this: You look around and you say to yourself, “Why is everyone else’s life so much better than mine?”
Well I want to tell you, the truth is: it isn’t. Everyone’s got his or her stuff going on.
AND your life can get better pretty quickly when you shift the energy and start believing that nothing is wrong with your life. I know because that’s exactly what happened to me 20 years ago.
At that time, I was unhappy, hated my work, in an unhappy marriage, I was $50,000 in debt and I weighed 40 pounds more than I weigh now. When I finally started to implement all of these ideas, $50,000 dropped out of the sky (more on that in another video), I dropped 40 pounds in 5 weeks without diet or exercise (more on that in yet another video) and I started doing the work of my dreams with Sedona Soul Adventures. And last year, I married the man of my dreams. I’m telling you this stuff works!
So let’s start at the beginning… I have lots of other videos out there where I’m talking about this and talking about the ideas of Quantum Physics that pertain to this, so at this point, I hope you’re tracking with me on the basic principles that we’ve discussed so far.
Let’s just review them really quickly:
- Everything is energy
- We are generating energy at all times
- Quantum Physics has proven that we can change things simply by giving our attention to them
- What we put our attention on expands
Thinking that there is something wrong with your life causes unhappiness. There can be an almost infinite combination of life circumstances that causes unhappiness, but in the end, the answer is simple:
When you are unhappy, it is because you think something is wrong.
Many people spend most of their lives in this place – unhappy with their circumstances, work, money, body, husband/wife/children/family/friends.
It’s easy to see how it happens. We’re bombarded every day with media messages telling us that we should be better, thinner, richer, and happier when, in reality, this simply makes us even more unhappy and dissatisfied because we’re comparing our lives to an impossible standard.
And that’s the entire problem in a nutshell – Comparing Yourself to Others.
Comparing yourself to anyone is a losing game. It’s a set up. You can never win that game. So you need to Stop!
And the truth is: You don’t know really what’s going on with anyone else. I don’t care if it’s your best friend, you don’t really ever know what’s going on behind closed doors.
Here’s a simple truth: at the root of everything you say you want (money, satisfying work, a good marriage, perfect children, a beautiful home) is a desire for Peace and Happiness. A feeling of Contentment. That is what you are truly yearning for.
And what if I told you that there’s a secret to turning this around – a way for you to have lasting joy and happiness WITHOUT sacrificing the things you want and without going off to live in a cave in India? (And, of course, nothing is wrong with living in a cave in India.)
It starts by letting go of the story that something is wrong.
What I’m going to talk to you about flies in the face of what most people believe, because most people believe they can’t have what they want, they believe that life is difficult, they have to overcome things, fight things to make them better.
What I’m saying to you is that I’ve found in my own life, and with the thousands of people that we’ve helped through Sedona Soul Adventures, is that the more I drop my resistance, the more I am able to go with the flow, the more things have happened that are almost miraculous.
The key is to Stop Comparing your life to others.
Or if you are going to compare your life, let’s get real and do some real comparisons. If you live in the United States, you’re in the top 25% for money, food, transportation, pretty much you name it. You live in a house or an apartment, you have a job, you have a car, you have food, you might even be a little overweight, because most Americans are.
And you might be saying, “But Debra everyone is unhappy when they don’t have enough money/love/___ (fill in the blank with whatever it is you think you lack).” But is that really true? Don’t you know people who don’t have a lot of money who are happy?
Have you seen the movie “Happy”? It’s this amazing documentary that chronicles the elusive search for happiness across different cultures. It includes the story of a man who lives in India and from any perspective, he is living in squalor, but he is so full of love for his young son that he is a truly happy man. And he defines himself as a happy man.
And at the opposite end of the spectrum, don’t you know people who have a lot of money who aren’t happy? Who, no matter what, it’s never enough? So this is the big truth…
It’s not your circumstances, it’s how you react to your circumstances.
- How you think about your circumstances
- How you talk about your circumstances
- How you feel about your circumstances
Or as the famous speaker Zig Ziglar once said, “It’s not what happens to you that matters. It’s how you respond to what happens to you that makes all the difference.”
So I want this idea to make all the difference for you. If this is the first of my videos that you’ve come across, I want to invite you find some of them where I talk about all kinds of ways to help you shift this energy. And I invite you to read my book because it’s jam packed with that information. But for right now, I just want you to try this idea on for size – that there’s Nothing Wrong with Your Life.
Stop comparing yourself to others and start being grateful for what you already have, and things can start to turn around in an almost magical way.
I hope this helped, and if you got value from this video, please take the time to like it, share it with someone in your life who think might get something out of it, subscribe to our channel.

You can have the life AND the relationship you want – I know it.
I was lucky enough back then to connect with Jorge Luis Delgado, our shaman and guide. Jorge is a master and as everyone in all my groups always say, they can’t imagine doing Peru without Jorge, that it quite simply wouldn’t be the same. That’s a photo of my fabulous 2008 group.
On my first trip in 2008, I met his wife and son, who at the time was 14, a gangly teenager, and he spoke great English. He and I started talking and sat next to each other on our bus ride from Lake Titicaca to Juliaca.
Starting in 2015, Anthony started going to boarding school on the mainland so that he could receive a really good education, so he was never at home when we would spend the night at Juana and Joaquin’s home on Amantani. But this year, what a surprise. They brought him, along with his sister, to Chiquito where we had a reunion.
So when we were there last week, we took a photo of all of us to text to Jen saying, “Wish you were here.” Jen had just been in Sedona the week before visiting us at our home and we showed Pablo this photo of Jen and our friend Ranjita (who had been on the Peru trip with me in 2008 and again last year).
This year again, our group has bonded in such a beautiful, special way. One of the women said to me yesterday, “I can’t believe how I love everyone in this group and feel so close to them. Doing this with other like-minded people has just been so wonderful.
