A couples retreat at Sedona Soul Adventures is private and designed around the two of you: a mix of sessions you do together and sessions each of you does on your own, over at least four days. It usually runs between $12,000 and $15,000 for a couple. Lodging, meals and travel are extra.
It starts with a free, in-depth consultation, ideally with both of you on the call. From there, a Soul Guide builds your retreat from the sessions of our Master Practitioners: which ones, in what order, and at what pace.
Below, we'll walk through why couples come, how a retreat is designed, what your days in Sedona look like, what the price covers, and a few honest questions to help you decide whether it's right for the two of you.
The short answer
Private: designed around one couple, so the schedule is yours.
Together and on your own: some sessions as a couple, some one partner at a time, depending on what you need.
At least four days.
Usually $12,000 to $15,000 for a couple. Lodging, meals and travel are extra.
A free consultation first, ideally with both of you on the call.
On-going support - after you go home, a full year of online support is built into the price.
Why couples come
Couples come for different reasons. Some feel disconnected. Some keep having the same argument. Some find it hard to talk to each other, or a big change has shifted things between them. Some have experienced serious issues like infidelity or emotional abuse.
Many have already tried a lot: books, workshops, counseling, sometimes for years. They can name and see the pattern. They just can't seem to step out of it.
The aim of a retreat is to understand each of you first, the pattern between you, and the way each of you need to be loved and treated. After the initial discovery, we then design the experiences that support what you need.
How a couples retreat is designed
A consultation with both of you
It starts before you get to Sedona, with a free in-depth consultation. Ideally, you both join the call. A Soul Guide listens to each of you: what's happening, what you've already tried, and what you'd like to be different. This call is usually long and in-depth, so make sure you plan an hour in a quiet, private space to take the call. Being present and with no distractions is the key to this discovery.
A plan built around the two of you
We work with a network of Master Practitioners whose sessions span hundreds of different approaches, from communication work and family constellations to sound healing and ceremonies on the land. Your retreat is built from them: which sessions, in what order, and at what pace. One session can prepare you for the next, and a big realization gets room to settle before the next step.
Sessions together, and sessions on your own
Some sessions you'll do together. Some, each of you will do on your own.
Why sessions on your own, on a couples retreat? Each of you brings your own history into the relationship, your own core wounds, and sometimes the most useful work for a couple happens one partner at a time. The mix depends on what the two of you need.
An example of a four-day couples plan might include:
Together: Conscious Communication for Couples, Couples Family Constellation, Couples Letting Go in the Land and Couples Sound Healing.
On your own: Sedona Heart Healing, Release Your Issues From Your Tissues, Hand Analysis, breath-work and Past Life Regression.
Your own plan will look different, because it's built around what the two of you share in the consultation.
What happens in Sedona
When you arrive, there's an orientation at our offices. Then the sessions begin. Some take place in our session rooms at our Sedona headquarters, some at our practitioners' own private spaces around Sedona, and some outdoors, among the red rocks.
Most couples sessions run two to three hours. We check in with you throughout your retreat.
Support when you go home
A full year of online support is built into the price: a mix of check-ins, coaching and online classes such as breathwork, with at least one thing on your calendar every month. It's there to help the two of you carry what you found in Sedona into everyday life together.
What a Sedona couples retreat costs
Couples retreats usually run between $12,000 and $15,000 for a couple, for at least four days. The price covers:
the consultation before you arrive
the design of your retreat: which sessions, together and on your own, in what order, and at what pace
your sessions with our Master Practitioners
an orientation when you arrive, and check-ins throughout
a year of online support after you go home
Lodging, meals and transportation are not included. You choose where you stay in Sedona.
The final cost depends on three things you decide with your Soul Guide: how long you stay, how many sessions you choose, and which ones. For how a private retreat compares with group and donation-based retreats, see How Much Does a Spiritual Retreat Cost?
Is a couples retreat right for you?
Only the two of you can answer that, but a few honest questions can help:
Are you both open to it, even if one of you is more hesitant than the other?
Have you already tried other things, and keep ending up in the same place?
Would a few days away, with time together and time on your own, help you both see what's going on between you?
A retreat is not couples therapy or medical care, and it doesn't replace either. No one can promise how a retreat will turn out. What it gives you is time, space and experienced guides, to help you both see where you stand and what you want next. The primary goal of the retreat is to get you out of your comfort zone and break the current pattern that has been controlling your life.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a couples retreat in Sedona cost?
At Sedona Soul Adventures, couples retreats usually run between $12,000 and $15,000 for a couple, for at least four days. Lodging, meals and travel are extra.
What happens on a couples retreat?
After a consultation with both of you, a Soul Guide designs a private plan of sessions with Master Practitioners, some together and some on your own. In Sedona, there's an orientation at our offices, then your sessions: in our session rooms, at practitioners' private spaces and outdoors on the land, with check-ins throughout.
Do we do every session together?
Not necessarily. A couples retreat mixes sessions you do together with sessions each of you does on your own, depending on what you need.
Is a couples retreat the same as couples therapy?
No. A retreat is not couples therapy or medical care, and it doesn't replace either. It gives the two of you time, space and experienced guides, with sessions designed around what you share in the consultation.
How long is a couples retreat?
At least four days. How long you stay is part of the design, along with how many sessions you choose and which ones. We often recommend couples stay for a day or two (or more) beyond the retreat to give you time to enjoy Sedona together.
What's included, and what isn't?
Included: the consultation, the design of your retreat, your sessions, an orientation when you arrive, check-ins during your retreat, and a year of online support after you go home. Not included: lodging, meals and transportation. You choose where you stay.
How do we find out what our retreat would cost?
Set up a free consultation with a Soul Guide, ideally together. You'll talk through what's happening, what you've tried and what you'd like to be different, and you'll learn what your retreat would look like and cost. It's a conversation, not a commitment.
