She's Still Coming Up Out of the Sand
Return to Egypt — Sacred VIP Tour │ February 15–28, 2027
On our last trip we saw something that had not been there before.
At the Grand Egyptian Museum, just outside the Solar Boat gallery, we stood in front of ten towering statues of Sekhmet — the fierce lioness goddess of healing and power. Ten of her, standing in a row, and every one of them had been under the ground until just a few years ago.
Behind the Colossi of Memnon in Luxor, archaeologists are still uncovering them. Amenhotep III is believed to have placed around seven hundred of her statues there. They have recovered about 287 so far, and more are still coming out of the earth even now, as I write this.
Think about that. Thousands of years, and she is still coming up out of the sand!
That is the thing about Egypt that keeps pulling me back after twenty-six trips. It is not a finished place. Egypt is still revealing herself — and I have found that the people who go there with us do exactly the same thing. Something that was buried a long time ago comes up to the surface where it can finally be seen, and it very rarely looks like what they expected. (More on that in a minute, because it is what the second half of this letter is about.)
So let me tell you where Sekhmet fits in February.
On February 18 we spend the entire day inside the Grand Egyptian Museum — the ten statues, and every single thing they found in King Tut’s tomb, over 5,000 pieces, many of which the public had never seen before. On February 20 we stand in front of the Colossi themselves, where she is still being dug out. And on February 22 we have a private visit to her temple at Karnak, with no other tourists and enough time to actually sit with her. That private visit is new this year, and it is a big deal.
Then the journey builds to where it always builds: February 27, and our two private hours inside the Great Pyramid with the doors closed behind us — the ceremony I wrote to you about last week and will never be able to describe well enough. If you have been feeling the pull, that is the day it was pulling you toward.
This February will be my twenty-seventh trip, and we keep it to twenty-two people, because ceremony inside a chamber only works when the room is small enough to hold everyone in it. Every one of our trips in recent years has sold out, and I would not wait on this one.

I've Been Loving You Through a Fog
(Article Based in Part on Chapter 16 of Our New Book, High-Vibe Relationship — coming soon)
When Alan and Linda arrived at their Couples Retreat they barely spoke to each other. Seventeen years of marriage, two kids, a business they had built together — and the spark, they told us, was gone.
But that wasn’t the real reason they had come. Linda had discovered Alan confiding in a woman at work, and although she believed there had been no physical affair, the emotional betrayal had cut her just as deeply. “You can’t imagine what it was like to find those texts,” she said.
We worked with them separately first. When we uncovered that Linda’s Core Wound is I don’t matter, she started to cry. She had felt invisible for years — unseen, unheard, unappreciated — and finding those texts had struck her wound directly and confirmed her deepest fear about herself.
In Alan’s session we found I’m not good enough. He had felt judged and dismissed, not only by Linda but by himself, and talking to the other woman had felt safe because it gave him a fleeting sense of value. As the truth came out he saw that it was never love he had been chasing. It was validation. And then the deeper layer surfaced, and he said it very quietly: “It was never about her. It was about me not feeling worthy.”
What almost took them down
Dr. John Gottman spent forty years tracking thousands of couples, and he found four behaviors that, once they became habits, predicted divorce with startling accuracy.
He named them the Four Horsemen — criticism, defensiveness, contempt and stonewalling — and most of us do at least one of them without ever noticing that we are doing it.
Here’s what I want you to see, though. These four are not the real enemy. They are signals, and every one of them is protecting a wound underneath it. Let me show you the two we see most often.
Criticism attacks character rather than behavior. It is the difference between “you’re so selfish” and “I felt hurt when you didn’t call.” Every critical word sends the same low signal — you are the problem — and that pricks your partner’s Core Wound and pushes their defenses straight up. Underneath, criticism is almost always hiding the ache of I don’t matter.
Stonewalling is what happens when the nervous system gets overwhelmed and shuts the whole thing down. The body may still be in the room while the person’s presence has left it. If your partner refuses to talk, that is very rarely stubbornness. It is a protective freeze, an overwhelmed system trying to cope by pulling away, and underneath it whispers I’m not safe. That was Linda. Underneath I don’t matter she was carrying that fear too, and in her session she could finally see how shutting down had been her way of protecting both for years.
There are two more, and each of the four has a specific shift that undoes it. Those are in the book, and I don’t want to shortchange them here.
What I can tell you is what happened next. Each of them went through a Sedona Formula session, and by the time they came back together something in the Field between them had changed. The air was softer. Their eyes met.
We found their Nurturing Needs as well — the specific things each of us needs in a relationship in order to feel loved. His number one was Sharing and her number one was Listening: Alan longed to share what he thought and felt, and Linda, hurt and guarded, had stopped feeling heard. For years they had been missing each other without knowing why.
It was not easy. But they told the truth, they cried, and most importantly they forgave. On the final day of their retreat they stood together at one of Sedona’s energy vortexes, and Alan held Linda’s face and whispered, “I’ve been loving you through a fog. But now I see you.”
So let me ask you gently:
- Which of the four is yours? Most of us know the answer immediately.
- And what do you think it has been protecting all this time?
You can learn the four names in an afternoon, and knowing them really does help. What it won’t do is heal the wound underneath, and that is exactly the part we do here, with over 50 Master Practitioners and a retreat custom-designed around where the two of you actually are.
Can you imagine what you would say to each other without the armor on?
If you want to find out, the first step is a conversation with one of our Soul Guides, about an hour on the phone, where they listen to where the two of you really are and, if a retreat is right for you, design one around it.
Talk with a Soul Guide about the two of you.
(All four Horsemen, the shift that undoes each one, the Sacred Pause, and Alan and Linda’s whole story? That’s Chapter 16 of our new book, High-Vibe Relationship — coming soon.)
