Our Egypt Trip: Every Wish Fulfilled
As you read this, I will just be arriving home from our fabulous Return to Egypt Tour.
As I’m writing this, I’m sitting on the balcony of our beautiful hotel in Luxor, watching hot air balloons fly over the Nile. And as usual, the trip has been incredible and amazing, but it’s also been a trip of wishes fulfilled.
Everyone is completely blown away by seeing the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx, and Abu Simbel, which are the standard things that everyone sees in Egypt.
But there’s so much more to Egypt that most people don’t know about until they come over here.
Going to the Tomb of Nefertari is always so extraordinary and people are completely blown away by its artistry. It’s called the “Sistine Chapel of Egypt” because the art work and the colors are so incredible.
Here’s a beautiful scene of Isis giving the ankh to Nefertari as she helps her cross over to the Netherworld.
The Temple Complex of Karnak was built over a period of over 2,000 years. That’s just almost unfathomable, isn’t it? To see Hatsepshut’s obelisk is always thrilling for me (she was a female Pharaoh). We had one of our most amazing spiritual experiences of the trip in Karnak.
And the Luxor Temple at night is so incredibly beautiful. The giant statues of Ramses II really convey the power that was ancient Egypt.
And to explore the treasures of the Cairo Museum is so fabulous. The Museum contains the treasures of King Tut and they are phenomenal. King Tut’s was the one and only tomb of the ancient Pharaohs that was not plundered by tomb robbers – it was found almost completely intact.
What most people don’t know is that Tut was a very lesser Pharaoh, as our guide puts it, from an historical perspective, “he was a nothing, a no one” who ruled for a short time and died unexpectedly at a very young age. So when you see the incredible treasures which are in his tomb (especially the solid gold), it’s staggering to think what must have been in the tombs of someone like Ramses II, who ruled Egypt at its height, ruled for more than 60 years and would have spent over 60 years designing, building and furnishing his tomb.
And I’m so excited about the prospects of next year’s trip. The new Museum (the Grand Egyptian Museum) should be open by then. It’s October 2020 Grand Opening was delayed by COVID, but it’s now expected to open in October 2021 – just in time for our February 2022 trip.
But in addition to seeing the incredible sites, the real magic of this trip is in the spiritual experiences. We don’t just go to these places, we experience them.
Tomorrow we will have our two hours of private time just for our group inside the Great Pyramid. I have had so many mystical experiences in that place and I’m sure tomorrow will be the same. We’ve had so many discussions about the different ideas of who built the Great Pyramid, information about past lives in Egypt and people having some incredible energetic experiences at the different places we’ve gone to. And it’s always fun to talk about why are there carvings of a helicopter, a tank and a submarine in the temple of Abydos? Can you see them?
And it’s so wonderful to journey to these places with so many like-minded adventurers. It adds such an amazing texture to the trip.
This was one of my favorite examples of wishes being fulfilled on the trip. When one of our people saw a McDonald’s across from the Luxor Temple towards the end of the trip, she said, “Are we going to McDonald’s?” and I answered, “No, we don’t have McDonald’s on the itinerary.” The next day we ate lunch at a beautiful oasis-type setting next to the Valley of the Kings which was just lovely, with beautiful trees and lots of baba ganoush, falafel and other Egyptian delights.
But the next day, Jane was back to “Can we eat at McDonald’s?” It turns out that she has eaten at McDonald’s all over the world and she loves experiencing them. So the next day (our last day in Luxor), I told her, “Jane, we’ll get a driver and we’ll go to McDonald’s for lunch.”
Two other people joined us and we had so much fun. The Big Macs were great and the fries were fantastic. We even ended up speaking with two Egyptians who turned out to be hot air balloon pilots who had piloted balloons twice at the Santa Fe, New Mexico hot air balloon show. And Jane was so happy she got to go to McDonald’s!
As I said, I’m super excited about the prospect of next year’s trip because of the opening of the new Egyptian Grand Museum. We’ve driven past it and it’s just enormous! They are saying that all of the treasures of King Tut will be displayed there (there was never room for everything in the old Museum) as well as thousands and thousands of treasures that no one has ever seen because of the lack of space in the old Museum. I can’t wait! It will be my 22nd trip to Egypt and just like this time, I see new things every year.
It’s going to be incredible and I’d love to have you join me on this trip of a lifetime.

“Hi Debra, I didn’t not get to meet you this week during my Soul
Adventure, but I wanted to Thank You for the most AMAZING
3 days of my life. Thank you for creating such a beautiful place.
You have gifted the world. Love you, and I will be back.”
Isn’t that beautiful? I’m so grateful to my team in Sedona for making all of the Soul Adventures just continue to keep on and make the transformations happen, even while I’m gone. They are so wonderful and I love and appreciate them so much.
